The story is I don't leave games, so my account status has been improved? This is the second time seeing this notification. What does this mean? And also, what statuses have been improved?
Only you know what you actually did and maybe a little bit from Riot. Its up to you (the player), to decide if you truthfully did something guilty and you're denying it or not.
"Thank you for being a better teammate" - Riot is congratulating you on 'being a better teammate' so.... Congratulations Giant Weiner for being a good teammate! Im assuming non-toxic.
You were a bad leaver, but not recently notification
My friend received that message after he'd been on a leaver penalty, then didn't afk again, and eventually received that message.
Is there a way to see the status? how do I know how much trouble I was in? i got this message unexpectedly because I dont actually leave games but i have been disconnected on account of poweroutage or network issues so im wondering if I am still on some kind of naughty list or if Im essentially in the clear or whatever.
Man I wish the system would praise me like that.

Yeah I keep getting that message too but I haven't afk'd in like 6 months... lol.
I got a warning for being AFK but tje thing was there was a power cut in my area of the UK and was down for the whole night and I got reported. Then few days later I played with a premade who was flaming none stop and brought me into it and I ended up getting reported. I wish they coukd look into it more and notice it was my premade which I ended up removing even if I did know him in real life.

The more frequently you leave games, the stricter the punishments for leaving. This is how AFK punishments have worked for a long time. Now, Riot has implemented a feature to let you know when your punishments would go down in severity. For example, if you left a game now you might receive a less harsh punishment than before your account status improved.
Basically it means keep it up! You're doing a great job!
