Suspension/Suggestions from ranked play for playing poorly.

So I've been thinking that ranked is one of those things that's not for everyone and I'm tired of being unable to climb because when it comes down to it, often times the team cannot come together to win. Maybe it's time to force players to stop playing ranked for a bit if they perform terribly consistently. There are a few things you see in the score screen when players do decent enough, that is: High dmg, less deaths. I'm sure there is more to be accounted for, but in my experience those are the obvious attributes to good games for a player.

So I had this idea, we have a system the ranks how players did overall right? At the end you get an FFiddlesticks , DDraven , CCamille , BBard , AAlistar or SSivir as your ranking. Why not make them mean something? I mean, sure they already do, but do they change anything if you don't pay attention to them? Maybe we should nudge players to get better instead of making toxic environments where players just ruin the game for others because they won't take ranked play seriously.

Proposal: Use the grade algorithm to make a system that tells players where they are lacking and what they need to improve on after each match. Whether that be warding, dmg, deaths, assists, towers, objectives, I'm sure it's all there in the algorithm. And when player consistently score low enough in the roles they play/sign up for, we send them back to norms for a bit JUST AS THAT ROLE. No more ranked in that position till you get those scores up mister.

It seems kind of radical, but I think it would be very beneficial to ranked play. We would end up seeing more skilled players in ranked who are playing for real and not just people who are there obviously learning considering they are scoring so low all the time. I don't know what steps need to be made in order to get this idea to riot, but I think we can all agree we should follow through with such a thing for all our sakes.

This will never happen. It is easy to get an S while contributing nothing to your team or be the only reason your team won with a grade of C.

They already have a version of this. Bad players lose LP and drop out of ranks in which they aren't suited for.

Sub-games with post-game grades would influence the game in frighteningly dangerous ways. If an individual loses lane, they're incentivized to passively farm rather than contribute to team fights out of fear of being blocked from playing ranked. Suicidal plays (attempting to steal baron/drag, a support eating a lethal skill shot to keep their ADC alive, split pushing and drawing 4 enemies away from objectives that your teammates then capture) are never worthwhile in terms of post-game grading, and therefore would be eliminated from strategic options in the game.

You're in Silver. Folks that can't compare to your skill level are stuck in Bronze, you have nothing to worry about. If you're dissatisfied with the quality of teammates you have at your current rank, well... you're never going to successfully adjust the community in a way to make your teammates better. Certainly not without comparably improving your enemies, leaving you back where you started. Focus on your own skills and strategies if you're looking to climb rank.

I agree with everything except keeping people out of ranked. I'd like to know where to improve but there's no reason for bronze if you have to be diamond tier to play.
