So - I have lots of people blocked on league, the main reason for each one being that they were really salty to me in-game, and that I simply don't want to interact with them ever again because they trash-talk so hard they make me feel like commiting suicide on the spot item 3070 item 3070 - but I'm wondering - does blocking another player just make it so you can't see chat from them ever again, or does it actually make it so you never get put in a match with them again - because it's only the 1st then rito needs to change queue so that you can't enter a game with people who you've blocked - especially because (again) I put them on my block list because I NEVER want to interact with them again... does anyone know what is the case with this?

It only does two things;

  • Permanently mutes them in all chat functions
  • Prevents them from sending you friend requests

If someone is being toxic, immediately mute them. Don't wait til they make you want to hurt yourself, just silence them right off the bat. Make sure to report them afterwards.

IT does 2 things .. nothing .. and nothing.

It does NOT prevent you from being in a game with somebody you blocked. Don't want to allow players to game the system by allowing them to strategically block players they simply don't want to play with/against again. This would especially be an issue in high diamond+. Block everybody that's above you and you get easier opponents.
