Should Riot dedicate a preseason in changining the report system.

This is a question that I have been asking myself a lot recently, mainly due to the fact that in my last games I have seen more toxic players and afk'ers than in the entire season. My problem is that nobody seems to get punished now and it pretty much ruins the game. Should riot become harsher with such players. I have already asked riot about the same thing, and since they haven't answered I decided to see what the community thinks about it.

I have to say indeed to be more harsh to afk. I recently lost a game duo to sombody of my team went afk cause he had to EAT. I mean sombody flames you well mute them. But sombody who goes afk cause he dint had time to play the game or ragequit or ints and than goes afk. What can we do about that other than reporting. Idk how those punishment are but clearly not hard enough. And im not talking about sombody who got afk for 1 game. Its about people who do this more than once.

They definently shouldn't be harsher for verbally toxic players. You have the mute button for a reason. It is also mentally avoidable.

They should only become harsher to afkers that make it clear that they are afking for a malicious intent/rage quitting.

Monthly Report Cards was an interesting community concept that would help raise visibility and transparency towards the system.

In April 2018, Riot Tantram has come on and told us that he is working on something more compelling than monthly report cards.

So now we wait and pray that they are on the right track.
