Toxic in Normals?

Sharing a story with the community today: Haven't played League for a while, just generally burnt out so I took 3 or so months off. Decided to jump back in today. Knew I'd be a little rusty and wanted to practice a new champ so I jumped in normals.

Died a few times, team generally doing bad all around. Someone made some kind of off handed comment about scking at the game and chat looked like it was starting to take a turn for the worse so I used the powerful /mute all.

Post game, my team was out of control. No one did well but somehow the flaming continued. Got told I was a waste of life and to go kill myself. I asked why they were getting upset about a normals and I was told cause loosing is a waste of their time and I should delete the game. I don't get it. What is with this community? Can't even be chill in a game-mode made for practicing and having fun.

I guess the takeaway here is for us to stop taking the game so seriously that we tell each other to kill ourselves over a normals match and secondly, RIOT please if someone uses mute all in game mute post game lobby too or just allow us to skip the post-game lobby screen. The toxicity really drives people away from an otherwise enjoyable experience.

Love to hear your thoughts! Enjoy :)

It's really not worth it to talk or argue with these guys in my experience, just don't linger in the post game lobby.

And yeah, muting should definitely carry on to that lobby.

With the dawn of Internet and social media, these kids think they are the center of the universe. They think they are very important and their time is infinitely more precious than everyone else's. The irony right? Wasting their life away playing a computer game and complains about other wasting their time.

Must have been over pampered by their mommy and daddy.

I usually tell these snowflakes "If you can't take a lose, uninstall your game. You sound exactly like those cry babies on Youtube who's face goes bright red full on raging and smashes their keyboard against their computer monitor.".

It's human nature of a blamer really. When ever something doesn't go right, the first thing we do is blame everyone else. It's always everyone else's fault, never our own fault.

"Oh, I'm fat but it's not my fault. It's society's fault for having models with nice looking figures, they are fat shaming me! Not because I didn't exercise and eat healthy."

People flaming in Normals... That's absolutely stupid. For what? For first timing a champion and learning how to play them? Not giving your best a champion you are yet to master? Jesus Christ it's a CASUAL gamemode made for fun what is wrong with you people.

Sadly sometimes happen. You know there are 3 types of players.

  1. Normal only players. To these guys ranked doesn't exist, and expect everyone to give their absolute best, and be skilled with everything on normals.

  2. Ranked only players. To these guys normals don't exist, and they do everything on ranked. Such as trying out new champ, switching roles, or trying out something they saw on challenger LCS player for the first time.

  3. Players with minimal intelligence at least. These players understand, that normal is not neccessarily about the win, and that on ranked you should do your absolute best. They are USUALLY(not always) weak on normals, because they don't do their best build/champ though. Sadly these are the rarest kind.
