I Got Banned for Using a Script as a skin enhancement.

I am sorry i used scripts, but i don't think i should have been for using them to enhance the skins. Please, look at this RIOT.

It is tolerated though. As long as the thing you are using has exclusively cosmetic features, Riot won't ban you for it, except if it's a mistake. There even have been cases in the past where they have lifted bans issued for 3rd party applications that were purely cosmetical (iirc, that was for Wooxy or something of the sort).

So while you are technically correct, you are incorrect regarding the implications. If OP is telling the truth, and if his program really has only cosmetic features, he shouldn't have been banned for it.

Not necessarily. All third-party programs are against the rules. You just choose to use it at your own risk, and it's tolerated in the sense they will not bother manually banning you for it, but if you get hit by a banwave for it, then you got what you were risking in the first place, and thus do not get to complain.

It's in the rules. There doesn't need to be a warning. Him reading the rules was the warning.

Did you read the part where I wrote that Riot manually unbanned people that were using purely cosmetic 3rd party apps? Sure, they don't have to, sure OP technically broke the rules, but for the sake of consistency it is still fair to assume and expect Riot to unban people when they mistakenly get banned for currently tolerated apps.

Maybe they'll come in here and say "Yeah, sorry, not for this specific script, because <insert technical reasons>", and that'd be equally fair. But until they do, there's no reason to come in here and claim OP "got what he deserved". If he has been banned by mistake, and if the current policy would be to unban him, he did in fact not deserve to get banned.

Riot unbanning people for that was the exception, considering they explicitly said that using any and all third-party programs are under the express knowledge that they are to be used at your own risk and do not support it. It's not the norm.

It's not a rule (hence why it's always at your own risk). It very much is the norm in the sense that it's currently the standard procedure.

I can personally say i have seen his set up first hand and can say that it is only used for the skin enhancement. So in this case Riot messed up a little. Which is understandable, this happens very often with computers and bots. Now i do agree he should have taken precaution know that this is somewhat, to an extent, a broken rule. BUT he was well within the limits Riot had posted which TrulyBland had said with it being tolerated by Riot. Now OP says he would be wiling to be punished but would agree upon a lighter punishment; 2 week temp ban, suspension, etc.

Using any kind of script is bannable, it sucks that you got banned for it but it was easily avoidable.

How should riot decide that it is purely cosmetic change? And why should they believe that it is just cosmetic change. Too much work. And don't forget you accepted the license agreement.

Regardless, I would allow banned players to pay some money and get back their account once.
