To people who ban your teammate's champions.

I'm talking the times where the teammate intentionally bans it FROM you, not an overpowered champ where you're last pick or when you don't have the champ hovered. Fuck. You. Seriously. I don't care that I had a bad jayce game last week, it doesn't give you a right to ban my champion. I don't care that you do not like my champion- it doesn't mean you should ban it. I really do not care that you have your control issues and want to control everything your teammates pick and do.

What fucking sucks is that i'm forced to dodge these games. I'm not going to help someone who bans my champion to win the game. And even if I was willing to stick in there and play it out, i'm already on tilt. The worst part of it is if you did this to these people, they would roll out the disco nunu and ruin the game for the whole team.

If this post comes across as hostile, good. Honestly, i'm sick and tired of this. It's not like it's an off meta pick i'm trying to run that's getting banned. If the people who banned out their teammate's champions spent a quarter of the effort they did into analyzing their teammates and worked on their own mistakes then they would be fucking challenger. But no, it's their teammates who run poppy top who hold them back.

I don't care who your champion is. I will ban anything I don't want to play against.... If i don't ban it because it is your hover then you pick something else I am forced to play against something i could have banned.....

I will ban what ever I want when ever i want regardless of my teams hover if I don't want to play against it.........

However I will never ban a champion because a team member wants to play it no matter how off meta it is.....I only ban shit i don't want to play against.

I agree that it's usually very very rude to ban someones champion. Especially if it's hovered, and even more so if you are first pick. However, I do understand that sometimes people do it for certain reasons. I suppose you could call it a control issue, however, if I see someone that plays a lot of X champion, actually a TON of X champion, but they have less than a 45% winrate... I would consider the ban, especially especially if I see they have another frequently played champ that has a much higher winrate. I remember a while ago, I went into a champ select while I was duo, my duo had a habit of looking up people's stats in champ select as I just decided what I wanted to play (based on team comp). Well apparently one of our teammates had hovered something like... lee sin? (I dont' remember exactly). Well my duo goes "omg he has a 30% winrate on over 20 games played" and I was like... rip me (I was in promos). But then he also mentioned "but he has a 65% winrate on Y champ" (Again, don't remember which champ). So... he banned lee sin, and the person played the champ they had a 65% winrate on and carried the shit out of our game.

I'm still not saying it's necessarily right for my duo to have banned out the lee sin pick he wanted to play, however, I was very very grateful that I didn't have a 30% winrate leesin (with awful kda apparently) in my promo game, but the 65% winrate jungler with a pretty high kda.

I do agree, in most situations it's not ideal, however, I understand why people ban people out on their own team occasionally.

I'm sure this will get some hatred for my story. xD I'm sorry that you were banned out, I know the pain.

They do have the right to ban any champ. The game mechanic allows them to ban first before you pick.

Now that said, it is a jerk move

And? Your point?

There's no written law that you can't ban somebody's hovered champ regardless of the context. Otherwise we wouldn't be allowed to ban hovered champions which isn't the case (though I've seen it be suggested a few times on these boards).

I wanted to play Rakan last night and try a new build. I was first pick. I had Rakan hovered. My ADC decided to ban Rakan and when questioned he just said "oops sorry :)" and the other member of my team, I'm assuming his premade, said Rakan is shit right now anyway and I should play a different support.

Was I bit upset? Yeah. I was first pick and wanted to play a champ that I had fun playing. I expressed annoyance ("If you didn't want me to play him, that's fine. Just tell me. No need to ban him, you wasted a ban slot on a sub-par champ") and then just picked my main and we did end up winning regardless. I just didn't have as much fun.
