2 week suspension? No riot email.
I was given a 10 game chat restriction as my first punishable offense. I completed these 10 games. I have not broken term's agreement since the hold. After the hold, I proceed to spend 35$ on Riot Points to purchase a few skins and boosts. I played maybe 3 games. Today I go to log in and I am prompted with "2 Week Suspension" notice. I go to check my email. There is no email explaining to me what is going on with my account. Not for the 10 game chat restriction, and not for the 2 week suspension.
So now I am here with a 2 week suspended account and no information pertaining to why this is imposed. I call riot customer support and speak to one of the rudest, non-helpful, employees of any customer service I have ever complied with and who also, does not give any information as to what is going on with my account (granted I understand, she might not be able to from her position) but the way she handled the situation was anything but professional.
I have checked my email on multiple occasions with still no email from Riot Games giving me an explanation as to why my account is all of a sudden banned for 2 weeks??? So I took the liberty of sending three emails out to address the problem. I am still waiting on a reply.
I can't begin to explain how frustrated and irritated I am throughout this whole experience. And it's not even due to the fact that I can't log onto my account right now. It is the fact that I have to go through 50 customer support screening pages before sending off a request that will probably not get a response for a week. It is the fact that my account is locked and I have no information on what is happening, and that the best way for me to find out is to jump through Riot's hoops in order to have information on something that should be pretty basic. I am frustrated that I just spend 35$ on this game and now I can't play for 2 weeks with no explanation?
I have been trying to go through all the possibilities on my own since I have been left to flounder, and I have come to two conclusions. Either, my account has been hacked and therefore the hacker has done something to have deserved this 2 week suspension, or it is a chargeback hold being detained by lack of funds in my bank account. I have ruled out the chargeback option because I tried to pay the amount again through Riot's payback method and it notified me that my account balance was $0.00 and there were no outstanding charges. My bank account has the transaction as "pending" still, so maybe when that goes through the hold will be lifted? (who knows.. still no explanation). This leaves the option of a hacker logging into my account and doing shady things. My password has not been changed, so this to me would let me know that most likely no one hacked my account. Which leaves me in the same position I was at the beginning of today.
Why is my account suspended for 2 weeks with no email notification from Riot games? Could my account have been hacked?
What is going on?
