Why do you get banned for being Salty or using Profound language if they have a chat ban system.

If they created a system where you are banned from chat for being salty then why don't they use that instead of suspensions. Suspensions and bans should be for more severe cases not used for someone being salty in chat. If you are being salty basically you should just be chat banned. I think this system is flawed also because it seems if majority of people in a game report someone they seemed to get suspended without being checked out such as when i reported this guy for being a dick he wasn't to salty but he was being an ass in game and right after when my team reported him he got banned and i don't think with all the report riot gets that they read them. In conclusion i just think they should use the chat restriction system they made instead of bans sense it was made for salty players.

you get 2 chatrestricts, to improve your behavior. when you cant do that, riot gives you a last chance, the 14day ban. if you still dont learn, the community doesnt want you in this game so riot permabans you. simple right?

Because some people don't learn from chat restrictions.

Riot has explicitly discredited this idea over and over. 1 person reporting carries the same effect as 9 people reporting. This is to prevent

When you reported him, the (yes, predominantly computerized) system found strong evidence that he was an ass (hence why you reported him). Subsequently, it also has data from previous times the player was accurately reported, which triggered the system to issue a punishment to the player in question. It wasn't a quad-report that did him in, it was his significant history of getting reported in numerous games.

Some time in the past (~1 yr ago), they would stack chat restrictions. But at that point, players were getting 200-300 game chat restrictions because they were still being salty. Since then, Riot decided that they needed a stronger punishment because the increasing chat restrictions weren't working.
