Behavior and Honor System!

There are a few of us out there who try to keep as positive as we can be and understand everyone has bad games, but getting honored doesnt make people want to be nice to others, a nice way you could do this is that if someone honors you you can get extra IP maybe a little bit of RP or maybe even a whole new currency, like a token that can unlock a champion or skin for a day or two that you can use. If something like this was to be implemented I could see a big change in behavior of the community as a whole!

They should pair the honor system with the new crafting system. It's intended as something to add to the mastery system, as receiving chests is tied to your mastery score. Perhaps honoring somebody could be used as a factor in receiving a chest as well?

I think that's a fantastic idea. The community NEEDS something that promotes positive play as well as has a more immediate and severe effect towards toxic players. Currently there's too much gray area and not enough incentive for positive players. The evidence of this practically speaks (Or cusses) for itself.

Would be nice if the honors you accrued during the season yielded some kind of reward.

Yes, really nice idea. If people got some kind of reward for being nice it would stimulate a positive attitude. Rito mostly punishes people for being bad/toxic, but barely rewards being nice. (Yes the skin you get at the end of the season is awesome!) I think it shouldn't be too OP. Like 5 extra IP for an honor, and 2 will give 10, three will give 20, four will give 40. With each honor you get your IP bonus doubled. Most of the times, you get like one or two honors, it barely occurs you get nine honors. But since people can take advantage of this, by asking friends to honor them, it should only count when people get honored by strangers. Rito rewards people sometimes with double IP weekends for playing with a lot of friends, now they can reward players for being polite to strangers as well. They could atleast try it for like a weekend or a week and see how it results. Nice idea, I hope Rito will notice it.

Back when they introduced the Honor system, they had to very aggressively counter things like honor trading and threatening to withhold it if players didn't get what they want. And the only reward was a little ribbon on the loading screen that could disappear if players didn't receive honor consistantly enough.

How bad do you think it would get if they linked key/chest rewards to whether you were honored in a particular map?

The only way I could maybe see it working is if improved odds were based on total accumulation, rather than if you received honor during a particular game. But even there, I don't really like the idea that my rewards are based on other people's opinions of me.
