Report system is no good.

So I have a bone to pick with the report system in the game. I'm a solo queue player and largely play jungle and support, two of the most blamed positions no matter who's "fault" it is that the game is not going well. I have heard countless lines about not ganking enough or not using exhaust when someone wants me to or not being in a fight that was instigated while I'm on the complete opposite side of the map. The worst part about these players is that they typically continue to badger you throughout the entire duration of the game. So after the game, I want to report them for verbal abuse towards me during the game. Everyone else can see the things they're typing, yet typically I'm the only one doing the reporting because generally no one else cares enough to do so or they are in that player's group and don't want to report their friend. A couple weeks ago, I got temp banned after finally having enough after the 3rd or 4th game in a row of this type of behavior. I finally lost my cool and let some guy have it. Of course I would end up banned, where's the justice in that? Are we as players supposed to just endure constant belittling from other players until we lose our own cool and get banned? I don't claim to be the best league player, all I want is to play games in peace and enjoy them with people of similar skill level. I'm honestly thinking about just quitting after years of playing because the experience is so negative most of the time. At the very least there should be a feature implemented to automatically block chat from both teams. Yeah, the loss of communication would suck, and yes I do like to communicate with my team if they're amicable, but it's not worth it to sit in a toxic game for 40+ mins of abuse where you can't leave for fear of reprisal.

End of rant.

I think the system works against flamers/toxic people, not so much against the trolls and feeders. As long as you report them you should be good to go because 1 report does the same as 9. If your report doesn't get them banned you won't get an instant feedback message, even if the next report does. It sucks playing a role that's the scapegoat for others peoples mistakes, and really all you can do is mute and report. I want to be able to communicate with me team too but if they're flaming or being toxic they're going to be no matter what, so really your best bet is to just mute them. You must have really gone off the deep end if you got a temp ban from the one game you got reported in. It really sucks getting multiple games in a row with those kind of people but at the end of the day there's really nothing you can do but mute, report, and then take a break if you're starting to tilt.

Here's the thing with the ban system. It doesn't take player performance into account, unless you're feeding or purposefully being a detriment to your team, and if you get reported in a match the system doesn't care about the other people that are in your match. YOU are the one that got reported. That's all the system looks at.

I've had many a times where people have threatened to report me because they are toxic and salty, and I don't know if they actually have, but if they did I have yet to suffer a punishment. If the person reports me for being offensive or something, but I haven't said anything in chat, why would I get a ban? They throw it out as just another butthurt player that needs to get over it.

I know you're probably tired of hearing it, but mute them! We even can mute their pings, so we don't have to constantly see ??????? all over our character models anymore, it's great! just /muteall at the start of a game, or hit Tab and next to each player's name you'll see buttons that allow you to mute different forms of communication, from EVERY person in the game.

Do things slip through the cracks? Absolutely. It happens. It sucks. But it is what it is. Just mute, report, and move on. (So long as the person is actually being toxic, not just because they did something you didn't like).

In regards to the jg/support being the most scrutinized, honestly it's because of your rank. The people don't know or understand the game that well, so when they play poorly, they blame others. "I died in an even matchup because I misplayed or I got greedy, so it's your fault you weren't here." That's all it is. Just mute them, play your game, and carry their sorry butts. And all the more reason to practice and get better so that you can play with more like-minded individuals, and people who see your value as a teammate.

The answer - YES. RIOT GAMES MAKES THIS HAPPEN.

I play lots of games, different varieties both console and pc and I don't think any other game is more toxic than this community. In the history of video games.

I mean, to me feeding/int feeding are the same thing. If someone is running it down mid, or flashing into 4 people (RIP Cody Sun), for no strategic gain or value, you're inting.

If you are getting camped because you're going against a duo, or you're playing under your turret and dying because you're getting dove but let's say you have 3 deaths at 10 minutes (this is just in my case for my elo, idk what you experience), I don't consider that feeding/inting because you're playing how you should be given the situation, and hopefully your team is smart enough to make plays elsewhere while your face is drawing all that pressure. Otherwise if you're losing while someone is camping one single lane, your team is just bad honestly.

I main mid so I know the struggles of being camped, and as I rose through the ranks I also saw myself getting camped and my team doing nothing about it. Not much I can do other than try to ping where they should go or something. League games are a coin flip anyway, 50/50 chance you get the guy who plays once a month or the guy that is a challenger smurf that will dominate your game.

First of all it does not matter how "good" you are if you a re "good" but have a venally abusive negative toxic attitude you simply don't reserved to be here

Also they put mute int he game for then you don't have to put of with anything for an "entire game"

I'm the only one doing the reporting

That's fine it only takes one report for LEGITIMATE offenses.

A report flags a game for review. They do not establish guilt. The game is then reviewed for harassment, feeding, etc. This is why 'troll reporting' or 'gang reporting' do >not work. False or inaccurate reports are thrown out.

You cannot ever be punished for saying nothing .. unless of course it's for something gameplay related like feeding, afking or cheating. But, you can never be punished for >offensive language, hate speech or verbal abuse if you said nothing.

Problem is there are toxic players out there who report stuff that is not legitimate ( what they personally think is "badplay , unskilled, "feeding" that is not actually "Intentional feeding" etc) and then get upset when what they consider "trolls" don't get punished.

Also There is never any "context" or "justification" for responding to, reacting to any Intentional negative chat , action or play .

Also there is never any "context" or Justification to negativity commenting on something you simply don't like or what you consider "bad play" of any kind.

This is a video game there is no need to "defend" yourself If you do respond to something you don't like in game even if it is legitimate or simply something you simply don't like

You deserve punishment . It really is that simple absolutely no "grey " areas

In others words if you cant say anything non-sarcastically positive don't say anything at all.
