Just an OPINION

I recently hopped on my smurf account recently to be in a less competitive environment. Wow was I surprised how bad the people in that elo is these days.
Like everyone is legit bad in silver and bronze. They lack the skill to be playing rank alongside being totally closed minded.

Here is a little backstory: I was playing my smurfs placement matches and the elo for unranked are bronze to silvers. I have played 6 out of the 10. Like out of all those games everyone seemed to lack basic knowledge of their roles. I was playing adc and I had a couple supports who didn't know the basis of supporting. Like if u are Janna you shield and use ur ult to heal. If your thresh you land the hooks, if you cant land them just dont feed. I started with some calm nice comment that basically would help them. Such as thresh, if you keep trying to max range the hooks, they are harder to land, or for Janna just try to shield before they attack and stop touching the farm. Keep in mind I'm not flaming or anything, they get the wrong idea and start being toxic back. Another example is this JG who would come to lane to farm lanes during laning phase. You're not suppose to do that as jg cause the enemy knows where you are and it lets them know what lane they can gank without a counter gank. Come on that's like league 101.

I get it's low elo and everyone is bad, but everyone was there at one point. The thing is, it wasn't that bad like when my friends and I were there. Everyone lacks basic knowledge of the game. They even play rank when they don't have that knowledge. You try to help them out and they just get an attitude with you. That's why I feel like NA never wins world. We have to import all these player from different regions, because our region has no more talent. Korea's bronze is like our Gold in America. The unskilled players remain unskilled and think they all are tough shit, because they think they are tough shit they never want to improve. I feel like they should be other requirements for people to be able to play rank, not just level 30 and 20 champions. Most people are still very uneducated about the game at level 30. Just think to yourself am I ready for rank, and not be selfish. By selfish I mean dont just think about yourself playing rank. your affecting 4 other people. If your bad you can affect your teammates.

Completely off topic but most comments on every boards are from low elo people. At that rank you don't have the skill or the experience to give a good opinion TBH. Cause you cannot talk rich people talk if your poor. I feel a lot of low ELO just has that stress and one sided opinions.

Not saying I'm a pro but yah.

Everyone is entitled to their opinions on the boards; pointing out that new players don’t have the same game knowledge others would doesn’t appear to require any sort of rank either.

Irrelevant opinion. Also, all you're doing here is attracting the wrong kind of attention with this kind of post.

Although i'm not sure where this originated from and it may not directly fit in with this topic I was just reminded of it.

"There was once a frog in the depth of the well. Since his birth, he has always been in that well. Since the start he could only see a part of the sky, so he claimed that the sky is only as big as the hole of the well. But is the sky only the size of the hole? We could only say that the frog is ignorant.”

I read this while reading Tales of Demons and Gods.

Noted - I'll not comment on any of your posts, just downvote them.

Keep in mind someone in Diamond or Challenger could say the same about anything you say.

Na is sensitive region,if you dare to tell someone how they can improve or give criticism, they get offended and mute/report you, that's just how it is. Na will never be a competitive region as long as people don't get rid this snowflake, sensitive mentality. Ranked is starting be regarded as a "4fun" mode rather than a competitive mode, its really sad to see this happening to NA.

low elo, high elo. It's just a game. If you're going to call it an "opinion", then there is no such thing as right or wrong and by logic everyone can have a valid OPINION regardless of rank. At the end of the day, this is just a game and you most certainly not a pro, so take a chill pill and try to remember that this is a game, not something that will change your life.

I can't say I agree with this comment " Korea's bronze is like our Gold in America" personally I just don't believe it to be true and even if it is so what? Gold and bronze players will have 0 impact on the pro scene. Other then that I pretty much agree with you.

Especially with how bad low elo is, I played a decay game for one of my bronze friend (don't ban me riot) went support(thresh) and it was a 4v5 my ADC was afk for the whole game yet I still won bot lane and the game with assistance from the jungler.

I recently hopped on my smurf account recently to be in a less competitive environment.

I never understood smurfing. All it does is skew the results of games, in favor of the smurfing players, causing frustration for people who are trying to play against people of their own skill level.

Wow was I surprised how bad the people in that elo is these days. Like everyone is legit bad in silver and bronze. They lack the skill to be playing rank alongside being totally closed minded.

From what I have seen, smurfing is the cause of much of the frustration with lower ranks. I ask again, what is the point?

You say it was to "be in a less competitive environment", but I don't buy it. If that is all you want, go play normals, and stop hurting the lower ELO games. Smurfing in LoL is the similar to a professional athlete coming down to the college level, or college student in high school, or high school student in middle school, ... you get the idea. Normals are there to exactly satiate the "less competitive environment" desire. Playing in lower ELOs on a smurf only causes people to become even more frustrated when they are just learning the basic mechanics of competitive play.

Do you really such low self esteem so much that you need to come down and play people of a lower rank to make yourself feel better? Is your ego that simple that beating people much less skilled than you gives you a rush?

Disclaimer: I have not played, and probably will not ever play ranked, so any argument about me being "one of the bad bronze/silver players" is moot. Everything I have said above is purely based on my observations on these boards, Reddit, and other places where I have heard about smurfing.

If you truly believe that just because they are lower ELO that they cannot have an idea that could help you or that you could not learn from them, then I feel sorry for you. At my job, I am a lead software developer. Every day, and I mean every single day, I learn something new from those who could be considered my subordinates. You know why? because they have entirely different outlooks, thought processes, mindsets, and experiences. Do you know why I say "could be considered my subordinates"? Because they are not. They are my peers, they have just as much say in how things get done on the project.

Like it or not, everyone that plays this game is your peer. You also need to remember, everyone starts at the bottom. You did not magically end up where you are. You worked at it, from the bottom up. That is exactly what they are trying to do, while you come down and shit on them for being bad.

I dunno, i've met quite a few Gold or even Plat players that aren't too much better than my unranked EUNE ass, especially with support role.

From a gameplay standpoint, the higher ELOs can certainly make more sound arguements about balance, counterplay and all.

When it comes to behavior, which is where this topic is posted, your ELO doesn't matter. Infact, people whom have not been punished are like people in masters / challenger, and people who continuously get banned are people in the plastic division.
