Is it worth to play this game? Just another 'mermaid cry'

Hello! I do not know how to start such a topic. Maybe by saying that I've played this game before season 1 started, on North America server. I learned how to find myself here on the battlefields of trolling and flame. Made my way up to have fun, and enjoyed the game. I never cheated, and my behaviour is.. a little above moderate level i could say. Sometimes I can get upset in games but never flamed like "your mother something.." maybe because my age is 28 years old. I have few marks of friendly player but.. anyway.. to the point.

Last weeks i get my first 14-day ban and it was related to flaming. I was really surprised because yea.. i flamed in game, because i get really pissed off by some guys who wasn't nice to me too. But it was only one game! First i wanted to speak about it with customer support, but hey.. there is a note that "You cant get shorten or lifted any ban by instant feedback". That looks a bit unfair. Why cannot i speak about it?

In my ban description there was 2 games chat logs and while in one game as i said - i flamed a bit and get nervous.. in second one i didn't flamed anyone! But it was counted to my ban reasons! So now i would like to ask why i get instant 14 day ban for flame just in one game? Why no any warning, or something like "ok baby, don't play today - your attitude needs a break". Why not only chat restriction? I didn't get penalised like 2 years back! (and my only penalty was chatban).

I know that i should not flame, but world is not perfect and ppl in my game wasn't also. I dont think its ok to give bans just for one game with flame. Also.. as i get my account with more and more content, is it worth to play if i can lose it so easily? What gona be next perma ban? I want to be better player and improve my behaviour, but how can i do that when i get such hard treatment? I did read somewhere that if i am not receiving penalties then i should not get this 14day ban, but chat restriction instead. If no, if there is only "4 time perma ban penalty" without decay.. you can not escape from that fate if your account is such old as mine. Its because you cant be perfect all the time.

More than 6 years of playing this game, community marks and can get kicked out just like that? I wish to 'reform' and i wanted to be more friendly even before that damn ban but i didn't found Riot methods much supportive. Now when my ban is gone i still not feel much safe playing this game. Where i can get chatlog of game that i didn't flame ppl as ban reason and cannot talk about it with customer support.

My questions are...

  • Why did i even get banned for 1 game only while i was fine player for a long period of time?
  • Why we cannot get our bans by instant feedback lifted or shorten?
  • Why i didn't get only chatban as "first penalty" in a long period?
  • Is that like you can only get 4 time penalised before permban no matter if you play 2 months or 10 years?
  • Why i cannot have any way shown if i am going in a good way with my "reform" or not? How can i know then if i am improving?

Well.. still i think i've put more positive into the game of other ppl than negative and had much fun. Sadly... i don't believe in the better future. Just auto penalties are really not working as it could be expected. In my opinion this one was unfair and problem will back time by time when "robots" are going to judge people.

Rito is deaf from the sounds of $$$. They truly do not care what the playerbase thinks as evidenced by the Dynamic Q debacle that raged on for almost a year and backfired on them. Rito and the users here(particularly the Rito Butt Slappers Club) do not want to hear any critiques.

If you can show your logs we can score it so to speak, but the system truly is broken. It's too sensitive for small stuff but completely misses bigger things like pretending to be AFK and throwing because Riot bases behavior off of what was typed. Riot is the judge that would punish the homeowner for knocking out the robber than actually punishing the robber. The worst thing you can do in this game unfortunately is to speak up about any type of abuse going on. Riot expects you to take every incident in game up the butt with no lube.

  • Why we cannot get our bans by instant feedback lifted or shorten?

This would require actually reading chat logs, looking at both sides of the situation and using critical thinking skills. Riot instead just wants to say "nope" and "deal with it".

Rito's behavioral system is a cumulative jackpot type of system where the jackpot is the ban. It's a lot easier to go up than to go down. They need to give users the chance to drop a punishment level after so many games without punishment. Why don't they? Since no one quits the game, banned users have to make new accounts and buy boosts/champions when banned. Since tons of users are getting banned nowadays, it makes them a bunch of money and since users have stopped playing due to Dynamic Q and bans, they are running out of players.

You shouldn't have gotten whatever you go for a first time penalty and if it is so, you got screwed.

You are supposed to drop levels after a while. 2 week bans take like 6 months to drop down a level and the others are less. For hardcore players, these could make them have to have hundreds of games without incident, which is no small task. It's a stupid system that just causes more punishments and fear of chat. Meanwhile, CSGO, which has the same players but is less toxic, gives players the chance to drop a level or 2 after no incidents for a week and has a 30 min/2 hour/2 day/permaban tiers that work much better.

  • Why i cannot have any way shown if i am going in a good way with my "reform" or not? How can i know then if i am improving?

The "reform" thing is just a buzzword to make players feel bad. No one can clearly define what the behavior rules of the game aside from "don't be a dick" which is open ended and there's tons of things you can do to skirt the line. There's also no need to really reform because it accomplishes nothing. Even if you have 100 good games, it only takes one bad day to get you banned and with Riot purposely putting you with bad teammates to make up for weird MMR differences, it is easy to get into it with someone. Tyler1, the famous toxic player is seen as being "reformed" after getting banned 22 times.

The system sucks and Riot is arrogant about it, so don't expect any changes, just challenges when you question it. I've messaged Rioters directly and very few care. The best thing you can do is not support them with RP as $$$ is the only language Riot knows.

If I were you, I would immediately create a new account and stop playing on this one. One bad game and you are toast. It's not worth it. Rito has you at 10HP right now and is ready to smite you.

You got banned for using hate speech, the robot is smart enough to catch you getting mad and spamming it.

I didn't get penalised like 2 years back! (and my only penalty was chatban).

i suppose they don't reset the limitation period for those ever
