It depends on the punishment, how quickly the system reviews & punishes the player, and if other players reported the player before he or she was punished. If another player also reported them, they might get the popup and you may never be notified.

Ultimately, the takeaway should be to continue reporting behavior that breaks the summoner's code and let the system do its job.

But then move on. Out of sight; out of mind... as it were. Don't let toxic players consume any amount of your thoughts, bc that's how they win. They want to get under your skin. It's really none of our concern after we report. The occasional pop ups we get are meant to encourage us to continue using the system... not send us on a witch hunt every time a player wrongs us and we don't get a pop up about them.

You should take comfort in the amount of threads on the boards complaining about IFS punishments. Players who deserve to be punished will be punished whether you get notified or not. It just might not happen right away.

It is horribly inconsistent, I have written out a series about the report system and even I couldn't find a source that people 100 percent agreed on.

I know that it happens, but not 100 percent of the time, I have seen that stopped playing for 2 weeks after I reported them, but I got no notification at all.

In short, it is inconsistent and wonky. My guess as to why they are doing it this way is that in this way people can't find out the ideal combination of flaming and not flaming to get around the report system.

it doesn't always popup

if you haven't gotten it by the end of your next game, it's likely never gonna happen

From what I understand its only the last player who reported them, and its when the punishment is applied.

Today I was in a match with some guy who was cursing in German the whole game, at the end though this idiot said 'get cancer' in /all (just another day on EUW). I reported him and it's been well over 15 minutes, I still haven't gotten that popup screen. While people are being banned for saying 'stfu' stuff like this has been going unnoticed.

Usually around 5-15 minuets, but its usually the last person that reports them that gets the pop-up. And even then, the client bugs out sometimes and you dont get it at all.

Just know that since he used a zero tolerance phrase, he WILL be punished. Although a bit sadistic in a way, you can be assured and satisfied that he is.

Four minutes and thirty seconds, if a large amount of negativity or any two zero tolerance phrases were in the person's chat. It's exactly four minutes and thirty seconds.

If you report more then one person and they're all punished, at four minutes and thirty seconds, you will have to press OK on the popup the appropriate number of times.

If you know for a fact (you saw) someone use zero tolerance phrases, you can invite the person to count down the time to their ban. It's that reliable.

5-15 mins if they got punished.
