So I just had somebody say they took a load of damage because of lag. Fair enough. The excuse for lag was that his mom was microwaving a baked potato.
HAHAHAHHAH - wait, you might be thinking the microwave is connected to wifi. So I asked that and he said nope.
WHO EVEN THINKS OF THAT, anyway the person was toxic and AFKed after so that sucked but it was only a normal game so I don't lose much other than exp.
I'm gonna jump on this thread to point out that using a microwave can interfere with wifi. Check out this link for more info.
The problem is that both microwave ovens and Wi-Fi operate on the same frequency, 2.4 GHz. In theory, a properly shielded microwave shouldn't leak any radiation, but the reality is that they leak quite a bit, resulting in electromagnetic, or radio-frequency (RF), interference. And yes, Wi-Fi is a radio signal, but it's broadcasting on a much higher frequency than most broadcast radios operate on.

A POTATO is a person with slow reflexes.
Being BAKED implies someone is high; MICROWAVE is self-explanatory, cooking something.
MOM or MOTHER is slang for marijuana/ganja/'weed'/herb/yerba mate (not sure on the last one)
So, 'mom microwaving a baked potato' OBVIOUSLY means the 'lag' was neuronal and biological. Smoking the devil's lettuce was baking his brain and laggin' his reflexes.

On the other hand, if the power instalation in the house is in bad condition, simple energy fluctuations may affect other devices that are plugged in the same power source. It's not entire impossible for a running microwave to influence the wifi connection, in given conditions.
I could believe it but he'd have to be really close to it. My old microwave did something like that, where every time it was on my YouTube app wouldn't load anything.
How did the potato turn out?
Microwaves and certain Routers do run on the same frequency, so if their microwave is close enough to their router and someone uses it, it can cause lag.... Have had first hand experience with this exact problem....
