People who pick support on draft only to instalock a different role...

So.... can we report those players and have them punished? You know how frustrating this is? I play draft pick to avoid the stress of blind pick, and these assholes are pouring into the champ select with "support" only to pick some other role because they just wanted faster queue time.

Obviously the champ select chat should be checked to see if everyone has agreed to swap roles. But for fuck's sake... punish players who do this shit. I just had a support instalock Vayne and when I asked her why she picked support if she didn't wanna play it she said she doesn't wanna dodge because she has leaver buster....

Seriously???? This is acceptable behavior??? ... as if someone casually using LEAVER BUSTER as an excuse to steal roles like this is something normal that everyone does. The worst part is I know she probably won't get punished at all for doing that kind of shit.

And this isn't a bloody unique case. This shit happens ALL THE TIME. Literally the game right before that we had a lee who instalocked jungle when we already had a Vi jungle, only for him to do nothing but die over and over again and afk for 70% of the game. Just check my match history, it's right there. And I have many other stories of this crap occurring.

How much toxicity do I have to deal with just to play this game? Even if I just mute everyone at the start of the game I still have to deal with constant toxicity on champ select. Shit that can be avoided if rules were more strict.

No you cant. Everyone can pick any champion they want.

i agree with you, NOT because i dont like flexibility but because they aren't doing their job. you can play yasuo support (because of his windwall) but that doesn't make him a troll. as long as you do your job, whatever you pick is fine. thank god i have never felt the shit you were in because if i had then i would lose my mind. my main point is, pick any champ you want, as long as you do your job.

The thing most players don't get is that no champion is completely relegated to a role. Not even the most linear champions in that of Soraka. I've had a case before where role confusion (sorta hostage situation) happened and I wound up playing Garen Support. I just told my team at least twice that I'd roll with it, but that didn't stop them from threatening to report for "trolling." We won. It was perfectly fine. More examples I have from Support: Xerath, Pantheon. From the jungle: Lulu, Karma, Fortune, Nautilus. Players thought I was upset from a wrong role and even called to swap from my lock. I had to tell them I know what I'm doing; didn't stop them from labeling me. The thing about randoms is that you never know the intent or open knowledge of another random unless they make it clear. So I can understand why it gets frustrating that players will use a role to springboard another one. Personally I have my own intent to play rather than to ruin.

Scrub Vayne. Normal people are honest that they just want the shorter queue time. (>_>)

Also. For the [not] last time, I'm not stealing top! Yorick support is actually viable sometimes. XD

It's possible they just got autofilled into the rule, which happens occasionally if you never pick support or fill. Which doesn't excuse anything. If you queue for draft, you play the role you're given, or you're a troll and can fuck off.

I had one of those guys just yesterday. Queued up with 3 other friends.

That guy got support and said "I'm ADC."

We spent the entire pregame lobby explaining to him that he'll get punished for stealing other players roles.

When the clock hit 1 he dodged. Didn't want to risk a ban. (It was him because we got the same champions and bans on the enemy team)

mate, Archerno1 is trolling you in this post and you keep feeding him. The biggest thing I learned in LOL is to starve trolls. Regarding your topic, you are right, that's a bad attitude and a shitty way to dodge leaver buster. You could go AFK. Or u could leave. Or pick Tahm Kench and spit the offending team mate in the opposing team. But then YOU could get a report instead of them. ( if you don't type in chat when they flame at you and build properly you could even avoid the report though) That's how unfair it is, even in RL. You can't stop people from offending you, you just can try to punish them after they already damaged you, and you can't even be sure they will get what they deserve. Personally I'd take a 5 minute leaver break. Also if you are keeping getting matched with those guys wait some time before queuing up for next game, so you can avoid them. Report, cross finger and carry on.

I sometimes wonder why Riot removed the Tribunal. And then I see the sheer level of brainfartage in some of these comments and get reminded as to why.
