A message to the "Retaliaters."
Why? Okay yes Retaliation is okay in real life BUT only under special cases.
Let me share a story with you something that happened to me quite recently actually.
Okay so me and my friend went out to a bar, she drinks I don't and she needed someone get her home that's irrelevant though. So we go to this a bar the bar she usually goes to it's got a nice atmosphere people are very rarely at each other's throats and the two bartenders are super nice. Though tonight we seemed to have gotten a little unlucky in which there was an a**hole there who has a history with my friend and not a good one, however we figured that since I was with her he would leave her alone, bullies aren't tough when other people are around, however get certain people drunk enough and they will think that they are freaking Superman. Over the coarse of about an hour or so he started to get pretty drunk and begin making ehhhh not so nice comments towards my friend and myself mostly to me though because he knew it would annoy her more if he was picking on me rather then her. Anyway he's making comments and the bartenders have told him a few times to stop or leave but telling him to stop made him get even worse. I wanted to rip the guy's tongue out and then castrate him but i'm better then then, my friend would have lost it if I wasn't there to help keep her cool, I just sat there ignoring him after about fifteen or so minutes of this me and my friend decided to just leave. He was not happy with that decision so as we were leaving he swung at me, he missed I grabbed by the neck and smashed his face in on a table, broke his nose and knocked him out. Turns out however across from where I knocked the guy out a cop was sitting there and saw the whole thing from the time we walked in to the time we were going to leave, however because I acted in self defense I was able to leave the bar with no problem. However had I been arguing in the bar the entire time and started a fight I would have.
- Made the entire situation so much worse and the experience for the other patrons much worse as well.
- Would have gotten myself and my friend in a fight.
- Would have gone to jail for assault.
My point is while Retaliation is okay in some instances in real life, most of the time it's not and just makes the situation that much worse. However League of Legends is a video game and Retaliation in a video game is NEVER okay you're only going to get your self in trouble but you're also making the experience for the eight other players in the match so much worse. Yes there is a mute button and they can ignore you and the person(s) you're fighting with, but because of that you had just giving everyone in the room another reason to report you as well as the a**hole that started it so now you have also just gotten you're self in trouble as well and was that really worth it?
Next time you're going to try and retaliate think for a second is this person really worth getting banned over? The answer is no, no they are not worth it.
