About "toxicity" and verbal "abuse"

So i got banned today because of my "toxicity", when i got mad because of my teammates who were purposely trolling... now yes i am MAD, but not because of the PERMABAN, but because of the following reason: TROLLS DO NOT GET PERMABANNED OR HAVE LITTLE TO NONE CONSEQUENCES... today i saw a post saying that the whole "verbal abuse" punishment is pretty much (what i deduced) useless, this is the internet, i have been in multiple games where teammates and me get stupidly toxic, to the point they WISH ME DEATH AND CANCER and stuff that are, according to riot's rules, "insta ban".. now where am i going with this? i rarely report this, and they rarely get reported too because i've seen multiple players who said stuff like tht to me playing and doing the same kind of commentaries over and over and no punishment, but when I say something like "you walk right into her fucking Q" or "he is fucking doing it on purpose" and that kind of comments (clearly not OFFENSIVE OR DEATH WISHING COMMENTS) i get permabanned... I usually have a good reason to rage, i dont rage over 1 death but i do rage when they start the stupid comments of "shitty jungle" when they dont even try to play smart... and thats why i make comments like the one described above... so @RIOT here is my question to you, what is, legitimately, toxic for you... i dont think its smart to ban people for saying comments such as mine (yes they are annoying as hell I KNOW, but they are not even close to the level of "i wish you die") i dont think you have to be freaking NAZIS about this, really its the internet if you think there isnt going to be a negative comment or multiple comments EVER then i think your logic is.. well.. wrong.. there is a really THICK barrier between a "fuk you, you are shit" and "i wish you die and your mom gets cancer"... i feel like RIOT should review their punishments and, those who were banned because of "minor toxicity" (this meaning "fuck you u are crap" kind of comments) should NOT be banned of game. but they should be banned of chat. when the other players SHOULD be banned if they wish you death, your system only works when a report occurs, which i think is pretty stupid since there is people (like me) who dont report when there is major toxicity ingame...

Don't you get it? Trolling is a drug and an addiction. Would you give a heroin addict a clean needle and some heroin? Because that's what you did.

Tries to justify actions based on other people's actions ( Billy hit me so I hit him back!)

Blatantly false (You were banned, along with many others every day)

today i saw a post saying that the whole "verbal abuse" punishment is pretty much (what i deduced) useless, this is the internet, i have been in multiple games where teammates and me get stupidly toxic, to the point they WISH ME DEATH AND CANCER and stuff that are, according to riot's rules, "insta ban"..

Yes, this game is played on the internet. However, you signed an agreement before you started playing that stated rules you must follow OR incur a ban. It's not an "insta-ban" but if you show consistently toxic behavior then it is somewhat quick.

and they rarely get reported too

No evidence for this claim.

but when I say something like "you walk right into her fucking Q" or "he is fucking doing it on purpose" and that kind of comments (clearly not OFFENSIVE OR DEATH WISHING COMMENTS) i get permabanned...

"you walk right into her fucking q" is not toxic, or bannable but not ver polite. "he is fucking doing it on purpose" is harassing that player, because most likely he's not doing anything on purpose. Intentional feeders are pretty rare.

I usually have a good reason to rage

Nobody has a good reason to rage, unless you can't control your emotions which means this game probably isn't for you (proven by your inability to coexist with the league community perma)

i dont think you have to be freaking NAZIS about this

They aren't, at all. You had plenty of chances to reform your behavior after multiple chat restrictions and even a 2 week ban. You agreed to their rules and terms of service when you signed up to play. If you break them, they have the right to take your account away. It makes more economic sense to get rid of toxic players who ruin the game for everyone who has to endure them.

there is a really THICK barrier between a "fuk you, you are shit" and "i wish you die and your mom gets cancer"...

Not really, both are really toxic and have negative connotation. You will probably learn this around 8th grade.

i feel like RIOT should review their punishments and, those who were banned because of "minor toxicity" (this meaning "fuck you u are crap" kind of comments) should NOT be banned of game.

They review bans, however even "minor toxicity" (lol) still makes nobody want to play with someone who acts like you do. You are just mad because you were banned so you have a biased opinion about this.

your system only works when a report occurs, which i think is pretty stupid since there is people (like me) who dont report when there is major toxicity ingame...

Well maybe you should start reporting people who ruin the game, instead of participating in activities that actively do so. And the system obviously works well because it got rid of you. Now nobody has to deal with your shit.

Here is what you should try to learn from this experience (I'm going to make it easy for you so that maybe puberty won't be so rough):

  1. Follow the rules when you sign up for something
  2. Don't fight fire with fire.
  3. Report players who ruin the game.
  4. Treat people the way you want to be treated.

I know you probably won't do this, but post the chat logs that you were provided. Take a screen shot of them. I'd be interested to see how toxic you were.

Clearly, the report system is functioning at least to some extent.

Riots wants you to play a video game the way they want you to, even though you don't own your account. They say it's ok to troll and ruin games for others so long as you're nice about it. But when you actually speak up and demand your allies be held accountable you're suddenly toxic. It's like little league sports where both teams get a trophy for participation. It's PC bs. Riot cannot and will never be able to enforce upon me their ideals on how a person should play a game and how they should enjoy it. Riot forces me to have 4 random people on my team, and I will never, ever, stop enforcing my constitutional right to free speech and speak up when they purposefully ruin my games. It is like in school when you are being bullied the teachers and staff just tell you to ignore me, and the more you "taddle tale" the more YOU get in trouble while the bullies conitnue to go unpunished. Oh yeah they might have a parent teacher conference, but when is anything ever actually done to the actual offenders? I had a riot employee , a Riot Employee in a game with me being snarky, passive aggressive, and really nasty. But that's ok, because he's on the payroll and Riot Employee's are excempt from their own rules.

It's really detestable.

Don't look for solace here friend. The boards are a place for people who think they're a gift to society to tell you why you're not. I was permabanned two days ago, as well. I feel the same way. Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about it.
