Permabanned for responding to verbal abuse? Really?

My last game I started off by getting verbally abused for a good five minutes by the support. After dying and getting more abuse, I finally snapped and cussed her out. The rest of the team immediately jumped in on me, and reported me as a group at the end of the game.

A few minutes later, I'm notified that I'm permanently banned. Are you serious? Why did the person who started and continued it walk away free, while I'm permanently banned from League? This system is an absolute joke.

Well you act as if this is your first offence, to be permanently banned you must have have multiple offences before and have been very toxic. Permanent bans are not give out lightly and there is always a reason behind them. There is a reason for a mute button as well. maybe next time you will just press that button instead of all the keys. much easier

Unless you were throwing around racial slurs and threats of physical violence, it takes way more than 1 game of "defending yourself" to get permabanned. You are given escalating punishment each time;

  1. 10 game chat restriction
  2. 25 game chat restriction
  3. 14 day account ban
  4. Permanent account ban

Most likely you ignored report warnings and several prior punishments. You are expected to learn from your mistakes and reform, and if you don't, you aren't wanted in this community.

THE OTHER PLAYER IN THE GAME I WAS REPORTED FOR WAS WAY MORE TOXIC THAN ME. HOW COME I WAS PUNISHED? Simply speaking, retaliation is not an acceptable or justifiable behavior. An argument between two players can easily create a negative experience for the rest players in the game with you. Regardless of the other player’s actions, this does not justify your own behavior. You alone are responsible for your actions within the game. If you encounter a toxic player like this, the best option is to simply report their behavior and move on.

Just mute toxic players and report them. You don't have to deal with them all game, and getting toxic back will only make it worse. "Two wrongs don't make a right", as the saying goes. "He started it" is a child's excuse as well, and is unbecoming of a mature individual.

I got permabanned because i was toxic in literally TWO games. this company gets your money for skins and everything and if they have what they want, you get banned after only two games... its sad.

When your teammates (4 of them) knew each other, suppose they are friend, and you use abuse language against with them, definitely they can report you with 4 votes. Even though they use more curse words than you, they are fine(aren't they?). Riot! Answer me. What I should do in this case. Are you answers really considering this question? I know you encourage players to be kind, but you miss something important. I saw a lot of posts about abuse language banned, and they got a lot thumb down. I realized some people tried to cover issues with fake kindness instead of solving problems. By the way, the purpose of the game is to make me happy. When you teammates suck, are you still happy. After a hardworking day, i need release myself. And I am not great person(like American president), and I will ask them to do better in my way. Of course, we shouldn't be racist. Normally abused language like you suck, I think they should be used.
