See Perma-ban people

What do people think of the idea of asking riot to give perma-ban users 1 chance to get their account back and if they continue their mischief to just delete the account and everything on it? I think this would be a fair way to see people who have invested in league to get their money back essentially and to see if they have reformed at all. Otherwise, it just seems pointless to keep the accounts around.

So, just changing it from 4 chances to 5? They'd just want 6 chances. If you get a 14 day ban and still don't care and aren't afraid of a permaban, I don't see how adding another step would change that.

There was a time when they offered a type of redemption process where you'd level a new account to 20 and could get your permabanned account back, but the success rate was abysmally low so it was canned.

Permanent = Permanent.

No but what I'm getting at is that I think that they should have a ban that is extended to longer than 2 weeks so that people have a longer period of reform because it took me almost 3 months to work hard enough to where I almost only say useful things in chat and just mute toxic players.

They actually already did that way back in the day and the success rate was only like 5%.

Yeah but instead of doing 10 chat restric./30 chat restric/7 day ban/14 day ban they should do 15 chat restric./40 chat restric./14 day ban/28 day ban.

I'd have been interested in trying that reform thing. A permanent removal of potentially years of work is a powerful motivator, moreso than a 2-week vacation. Shame the success rate was so low as to get it discontinued.

I might just try the challenge of my own accord anyway, just to test myself. Probably have to make it to 30 now, though, since they cut the XP in half. I'll even abandon my level 13 account and actually begin fresh.

Idk i just think if people get punished harder they realize how bad it can be.

Shinomori3/26/2016, 8:01:48 AM1 votes

I mean I use to be really bad and now I just mute people and keep my bad comments to a minimal.

Or, you could just not break the rules in the first place.

Regardless people are always gonna break the rules as it is a part of nature. And I think if people get punished the punishments should just be more severe so it gives them more time to cool off and get back into the game less intensely.

  • Deleting accounts is a bad idea because of unauthorized use. It is best just to let them be as a reminder and the possibility that punishments could be changed so that infinite permabanning could be changed to a extremely lengthy ban from the game, depending on the severity of the case.

  • People that ruin League of Legends and them getting their moneys worth back when banned isn't a concern.

  • The experimental program that people recite that long ago they were given a chance was a failed program and only one person reformed. I do think it is weird that there's nothing similar developed in the last few years, based on what was learned.

So on top of the 2 chat restrictions, and 14 day ban (thats 3 chances already) you want to give them another chance to change their ways?
