Is this a truly bannable offense or a false positive

Some context to this match: The player I was engaged with in the chat first started off with chatting to me as soon as I pre picked Lissandra for mid lane. The player asked if I had Coven skin, and I responded with "no". The player then responded back with "kys", and at which point I decided to mess with him a bit. Now, looking back at this reform card chat logs, the most aggressive/inappropriate words I said are "boobs", "damn", "kys" (mind you that this is I stating back to what the player said to me in pre-game, not myself asking him/her to perform the act), "trash", "goof head", "wtf", "kys" (again, pointing out the fact that i'm making dumb comments such as these to this player for saying this to me in pre-game, not myself asking him/her to perform the act), and "nooby nub". I was a bit surprised as to how I received a 14 day ban and chat suspension from this immediately after the game finished.

Then I realized, There is no way you can get this type of ban for 6 out of 7 of these aggressive/inappropriate words, the word that has had to get me banned is "kys" (yet again, me pointing out to the player that I am goofing on him/herself for telling me to do this in pre-game, not myself asking him/her to perform the act.) So, I ask, Is this a truly bannable offense or a false positive? If this is a bannable offense based on an actual mod/reports reviewer reviewing the report, then I'll simply have to accept this punishment as harsh as it is by simply not chatting in the future to counter such an overly harsh ban. If it is a false positive (which I think it is, because of myself saying "kys" regardless of the context), then I'd like the account to be lifted of its current 14 day ban and chat suspension.

Also I am aware that the chat logs don't show the player stating "kys" to me, I guess the report system doesn't show others chat logs in the same reform card to show context. I'm sure that League has a way to look back on the entire chat logs though.

They generally don’t want you using “kys,” even if you’re quoting someone. It couldn’t hurt to send in a ticket.

Tough spot, I don't think the IFS takes into consideration whether you are quoting somebody or not, so it looks like you are the one saying it, which is a no-go

Let's take a look at the things that might have caused you to be given this punishment;

All in all, This very well might be deserving a 14-day suspension according to IFS, learn from this and avoid making the same mistake in the future

Quoting them is the same as saying it, talking negatively to or about a player is an offense of the Summoners Code

The best you can do in situations like these is to Mute them, Play your Best and then Report them after the game. Refrain from engaging in negative behavior in chat, no matter the situation.

the letters "kys" will generally get you banned if you use them in pre/post or even during the game

No. You should not have been banned.

Obviously we have no idea what your other games are but... I stand by my user name. No chat system. They should just remove in game chat, only have pre and post, and then pings only in game.

There is the 3 letter K word abbreviation in your chat log. Sorry i can not dare to write it, since maybe suicidal people are reading this post and i don't want anything bad happen to them....

So, that word is a zero-tolerance word, which means you will get punished for it. In the current case you should submit a support ticket and maybe they remove the punishment, but you should really just avoid using chat at all. It just makes you punishable.

Yeah thats pretty standard unfortunately. Outside of the kys, Riot also does not allow calling people trash and nooby nub. Next time just report them, especially when theyre stupid enough to write kys. Thats instant 14 day ban. They will suffer much more from that than your petty insults.

I am the brother of this toxic specimen known to all of you as (SoulDraxios).

I have lived miserably with him spreading his moody fungus full of purest Sodium Chloride mixed with the highest forms of negativity.

It has been brought to my attention that he has finally been banished sadly not forever but in some content he has been punished for it. THIS HAS BEEN THE BEST! BEST! BEST!!!!! News I have recieved in years. I always thought to myself Leauge can’t possible have any higher elevations to its community full of rage, poison, and troll activity.

But today I have awoken a new man. A man who once didn’t believe in the system until this day! I LOVE YOU LEAUGE AND HIGHLY APPRECIATE YOUR GUYS DESICION.

THIS TOXIC FART (SoulDraxios) has been miserable the past 20 Hours and still has 13 days and 4 hours to go and learn from his lesson. KYF can have multiple meanings, but KYFS is in the urban dictionary.

50 - 50 tbh saying kys is an instant ban, even though you were just quoting somebody

In future instances just say he gave you death threats, mute, and report after the game.

Riot Support is your best hope, but generally I wouldn't suggest typing the word k%s ever, even if you are just saying someone else said it. Riot has firm zero-tolerance for that word, context or not.

Also this isn't very nice but not banworthy I guess:

First, there's no reason to repeat anything someone said. It's already in the chat log for the game. Just mute and report and move on. Repeating it only just makes things worse for you and most likely will end in an escalation between you and the person who you are having a problem with in game.

Second, if it's truly a false positive and you aren't making it up just to try and get people banned by claiming they said it (this has happened and people tried to claim it on the forums and Tantram came down on them hard and escalated the situation with player behavior because of this habitual behavior) you can open up a support ticket and ask for a review of the chat log because player behavior gets to see the whole chat log while you only get to see what you said.

If indeed this is a false positive, you will most likely get your punishment reversed. You should be very polite and respectful in your support ticket and in subsequent interactions with them. They have no obligation to reverse your punishment.

its all in you quoting him, the bot hat handles reports just scans chat is doesnt actually look fo obvious things like the quotes you put around it, id send in a support ticket to see about getting it reduced to a chat restrict
