Player sensitivity = Ban or Strike, even if you're just helping??

I was playing the new bot mode, level 100. It was already discussed pre-game that we need to clear waves for the strat because Zed didn't know how to play it..

Later in the game GP was bot and asked me to switch with him because he couldn't keep up with the lane. so I asked GP "do you know how to cascade your barrels?"

Kogmaw who was laning with him, apparently queued together, started telling me I was harassing him, telling him what to do, etc.

I explained it was nothing like that I was trying to give an alternative to switching lanes with him, perhaps he could try a different way of killing the waves.

Kog kept going even after the match.. all from one suggestion. Why are so many players so overly sensitive these days to a helpful suggestion? I truly was trying to teach him that he could cascade barrels to clear the waves easier and got interrupted by a very defensive kogmaw... Another player on my team told kog to chill and stop harassing me (i forget the exact words) This was the only thing I told him and kog just went off on me.... almost to the point it felt he was trolling me.

I feel like now I'll be banned (or a strike towards this) for harassment, reported by kogmaw when I did no such thing.

If this is what happened, you will not have any punishment given and the report will be tossed out.

You were not rude, you simply asked a question. If you do get punished for that (which i EXTREMELY highly doubt you will, because ive had similar situations for years), send in a support ticket. You did exactly what you should have done.

Assuming you're telling the truth, a baseless reports wouldn't carry any weight. You have nothing to be afraid of.

You lose a lot of communication playing league compared to face to face. Misunderstandings are almost a guarantee.

Don't use "bad words". Avoid excessive "arguments". You should be safe from punishment.

Riot's kind of enabled the attitude of getting people mad really easy, by having literally everyone who says anything remotely "mean" punished and deemed toxic.

quite a shame really, i thought this was the internet.

sensitivity led to my permaban lol exactly like what just happened. Minus it is over items liek hey there are buidling armor and hp LORD dom would be smart but nope your a noob and low elo im not listening anndddddddddd i get reported lol yah people being sensitive on this game and reporting you because they can. But do i report people for being toxic nope becuase i can careless about if someone says im a noob and i suck so on and so forth. why do people care about reproting other people like telling your daddy about johnny making fun of you at school and okay johnny ill go tell your teacher

Ya know I can relate.

I was raged at by a Vel'koz because I told him next time he laned against a Zed he might want to go Double dorans into Zhonya's instead of rushing Morello's........

It's ok though as he raged hard enough to get punished after the game......(I even got a pop up on the punishment)
