[4/24/2017] PB&M Moderation

Hello PB&M!

We’re going to be experimenting with player moderation within the Player Behavior & Moderation space which means the Arbiters will be assisting with fostering and maintaining this sub-board.

Actions include closing discussions and providing reasons for those decisions (transparency), as well as deleting discussions and comments as needed. You can still report in the Boards Moderation Discord within the #pbmreports channel, and Arbiters will be able to assist you as available.

I’ll be monitoring this initiative closely over the coming weeks. I strongly encourage you to share feedback you have throughout this process.

I'm kinda excited for this. The Arbiters are some of the nicest people in this community if you ask me. Keep up the good work guys! [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

I think arbiters should have the ability to highlight or pin a comment that they deem informative or helpful for the topic poster to more easily view, as well as anyone that could potentially be missinformed by the post

If I may make a suggestion: please implement some kind of icon that indicates that a thread is locked on the thread select screen. Many other forums do this so I see no reason why this can't be done for the official Riot forums as well.

That explains how Wuks was able to close a thread I read earlier. All I can say is that it's about dang time that the moderation for this sub-forum starts stepping up. Hopefully this all goes well.

I am very happy to being chat banned 2x in a row for defending myself, these arbiters should consider the background of non-friendly behaviour of each player to reach justice.

Well let's look at the guidelines:

This board is all about fostering a healthy community in which discussions can revolve around

player behavior systems

Riot is the only ones that know how the systems work (arbiters do not know). They don't like to talk about the details. Pretty much just leaves suggestions for future systems. Which Riot doesn't like to talk about.

in-game suspensions

What is there to talk about? Even unjustly punished people are told their punishments are just. Riot has an iron fist.

or boards moderation

So we complain about moderation, to the moderators?

` Are you getting ready to fire forum moderators? I don't see how this subsection is overly populated enough to warrant volunteer moderation.

I disagree.

Just saw the lock icon for the first time. Thanks for implementing my suggestion.
