Tips for Chat Restricted Games

I'm not sure where this goes, so I guess it should go here.

I got chat restricted for 10 games after being pretty toxic in one of my previous games. I'm not here to argue on that, I guess I was being a dipshit, punishment taken.

Any tips on how to manage the next few games without noticeable impact? I mean obviously communicating would be harder, but I've never taken punishments before, so I have some questions.

  1. Do you always notify your team beforehand that you're chat restricted?
  2. Should you always save your messages for important stuff (eg "go baron") or sometimes use it in other ways (eg "well played")?
  3. If I accidentally turn really toxic during one of these, what's the "next tier" of punishment?

And also, how do I play the game without losing the communication bit of it?

Telling anyone you're chat restricted will not help you. At all.

You only have a restricted number of messages, so make sure to not tell your jungler that he is shit with multiple messages by arguing with him, but instead make sure to type single, long essays that sum up all the important points on why he sucks to save messages. You can flame all your teammates like this as usual.

After the 10 games you can feel free to continue as usual.

Oh, and the most important thing, your /all chat is blocked during chat restrict, so make sure not to forget to ask a teammate to write "gg ez" for you at the end of the game.

Generally, a notice in the lobby wouldn't hurt anything. I would save messages for important strategy things to say.

Number 2(important stuff) is the most optimal option. Though you should note that using chat to communicate is not necessary, as pings are much more efficient and quick

Since the others answered your first two questions, I'll just answer the third.

In general the punishment system goes: 10 game chat rest. --> 25 game chat rest. --> 14 day ban --> perma ban

If you continued to be normally toxic, your next punishment would be a 25 game chat restriction. However, certain circumstances can jump you straight to a 14 day account ban, namely extreme toxicity, homophobia ("%%%---"), racism ("nig---"), or telling someone to kill themselves or "kys".

Don't say you're chat restricted. Save messages for important, short shot calls if needed. The next punishment tier, depending on the offense, would be a higher chat ban (25, 100, 200, etc games) or a 14 day ban.
