Don't work, at least for me and everybody else I know.

For me personally, they've only made me more toxic than I normally am, because I'm being restricted from venting out my toxicity to it's fullest extent, so then I end up saving my available messages, and let out 200% flame the moment I can, which is different from my normal 55% flame per message. Not to mention, even in the games where I'm not trying to make the person that irritates me most cry or AFK, starting with 3 messages and getting one new message every 5 minutes or so is not enough to properly communicate with your team.

Honestly, half the time I'm chat restricted, people either assume I'm just rude because since I'm not communicating, or simply try to report me for "griefing" because, in their logic apparently, not talking is the equivalent of not trying/giving up.

I've said this many, many times, but a better alternative to Chat Restrictions is simply giving the players the option to mute themselves. There's a difference between having restrictions placed upon you, and accepting them willingly. Not to mention, by choosing to mute themselves, the player is obviously showing that they have enough self control and self awareness.

And yes, I meant to put "10+ Accounts" in the title because I've had so many account permabanned that I genuinely don't know how many I've made, anymore.

You're still in a small percentage of people who've been permabanned, and nothing Riot or the playerbase should do should be to accommodate you. I'm sorry if that's harsh, but the system is set up to try and get extremely toxic people to stop playing - it's just not working on you.

You still have an option other than flaming or being muted - you can exercise self-control. You're refusing to take that step. I know it's hard, but you're refusing it.

Youre trying to rationalize your own bullshit. You're just a spoiled entitled guy who cant control his emotions, because all you talk about here is how its bad for YOU. Stop trying to sugarcoat it. Not everything is about helping YOU.

So I'm guessing you'd self mute, use chat to vent (and no body sees you) to feel better and not flame others.

But what would happen when you need to communicate ingame? do you have to go back into your settings and unmute yourself? That's going to be a pretty big hinderance.

There's also going to be the time you'll forget to mute yourself and let your 500% flame out when venting and get instantly 14-day banned instead of a chat restriction.

So would self mute really be as useful as you think?

Maybe if there was a feature where your chat will be masked or hidden like "/vent FK YOU FEEDER" and nothing would show. Would that be a better feature than self mute?

it works trust me, if you invest even a dollar into the game you dont want to lose that investment. the fear of losing my account scares the shit out of me and if i did lets say it would effect me pretty badly

your argument is like those website blockers that really dont do anything because you can spend 2 seconds to go into the settings and turn it off ? now if you had to contact support and wait 3-4 days to re enable it yeah ok it would work more, but it would also cost riot a shit load of money on support staff just to mean ur ass cant flame

I feel you're pain man. Riot likes to trap people and not give them the ability to reform, just like the US prison system. Qeueing you up with more and more toxic people as if thats somehow gonna help you change. Don't bother looking for support form this board, they will just flame you and make you feel like a bad person, clearly exemplified here. Complain for too long and they'll delete your posts and ban your account. It's nothing but an echo chamber in here.
