This stupid little statement people keep saying in my games should lead to a temp ban.

"It's flex who cares xd" "it's normals who cares xd" "it's preseason who cares" as they go 0/7/0 in my game. It's almost like they're griefing or something. This isn't a "oh it happens like once every 100 games", no it's literally 50% of my games. People just do not have any fucking courtesy of the people they're playing with, so they get high off their ass in their little discord parties and waste 30 minutes of peoples time because it's "flex who cares xd". I'm am actually not allowed to play the game anymore because people just do not give a single shit about who they're playing with, nor do they give a shit about the game as a whole.

What exactly is your goal with this? If its to calm them down. This is only going to do the opposite. If its to get them to rage more so they get banned. You are by definition also toxic. And should be permabanned. Bear poking just makes toxic players worse. And can make people who werent toxic before rage

Not judging, but I think you are confusing "super happy stuff" with "passive-aggressive" from the context of what you provided. Passive-aggressive-ness usually pisses people off angry or not angry.

Many years in retail has shown me an extreme amount of kindness is the easiest way to piss of super angry people.

They expect you to get angry as well since they are currently yelling at you. Amd they get furious when you stay extremely happy because it makes them uncomfortable.

I am beginning to enjoy how 90% of the threads in " Player Behaviour" could be solved by /mute rather than stricter policies by Riot. xD

Edit: This isn't something directed at you, OP. It's just something that I noticed and thought was funny. If the game is getting to feel like a waste, I recommend taking a break and using the /mute all feature.

The purpose of the mute is not to turn their skill level around. The purpose of the mute is to not turn your own skill level to shit because you are too busy raging and typing and subsequently cannot improve your own skill level because you are unable to practice due to be banned.

Well they don't just say it out of nowhere. You must say something to them to get them to say that. Half the time I see someone say that, is because another person is raging and saying things that lead me to believe they are very frustrated and the game is actually affecting them on an irrational level, emotionally. That's why you need to remind them sometimes that it's only a GAME. You know, games... those fun things you play when you have leisure time that don't affect your life in any way unless you do it professionally. And you want to ban them for that lol.

Absolutely, nobody should rage at someone else for doing poorly in a game.

But deflecting responsibility and minimizing the importance of trying to win the game is essentially giving up, and saying something like that clearly means, "Yeah I know you care about this match but I don't. And I'm not sorry in the least about it."

It is extremely tilting for their teammates. And it is highly irresponsible and selfish to give up on the match like that when the rest of the team still wants to try.

In the end it is still giving up, and depending on the circumstance (if they say it simply after being questioned about a bad play, rather than flamed for it) I would most definitely report them for saying it.

That's where we just disagree. If I say it's just a game, in response to being called useless, it isn't me giving up. I always try. I'm a try hard at heart... I can't just not try. Idk how it's even possible to do that. But that doesn't mean I think the game is important. It's still just league of legends. So saying it's just a game, is more a fuck you to the person flaming over the game. It's not me having my feelings hurt and giving up because of it. It's a reminder that you're flaming me over a video game that you should not care about on the level of getting angry and risking your account. If it tilts them even more, I could care less to be honest. I'm just kind of an asshole like that. Meh.

Oh you misunderstood me, perhaps I was unclear. If Person A calls Person B useless, and Person B responds with, "it's just a game," or some similar phrase, I would actually defend Person B. I don't tolerate people abusing their teammates, regardless of the circumstances.

It does qualify as "giving up" and there is a report category for that.

They're deflecting responsibility for their actions because they can't hash it that they are at fault for the game going badly. By minimizing the importance of the game they assuage their own guilt over it by making it feel like less of a bad act.

Not that any of that makes it any better, and they certainly have no right to devalue the importance of at least trying in the game and not giving up if the team does not agree to do so.

Giving up on a game isn't an individual choice. It's not their decision to make for the rest of the team.
