BS leave/dodge parameters

Just left a queue (first one in a long time), and have 15 min lockout. Left because team admitted to not wanting to tank or win. I don't wanna play with people who aren't willing to try. Why should I be punished by sitting through a 30+ minute loss? More on that note, my friend has been forced to leave/dodge at times (has an emergency job and can be called away at any moment), but he doesn't leave/dodge often. However, it's apparently cumulative and non-diminishing? He hadn't left/dodged a match in months and had to the other day, got a bloody 30+ minute queue delay because of his past actions. That's absurd.

Somethings been up with my PC and I've recently had it freeze in game twice. Like just in the past two weeks. I have yet to have a leaverbuster though so I can't really relate to this. Seems okay to me. I figured they would diminish, but maybe they don't? That would be a little harsh.

You don't get a 15 minute timer for your first leave in a long time. Keep in mind that leaving games early (for any reason) or AFKing also triggers leaverbuster penalties and they stack with each other.

If you left early (left anytime from spawn in to nexus popping), AFKed (so the warning was on your screen), those boost your LB penalties as well.

They do diminish. Leaverbuster FAQ

They only stack up to 20 minutes (for 5 games) max.

The goal is to not leave any games. Most people are able to accomplish this.

The data seems to suggest that leaving 1 out of every 100 games will keep you at your current punishment level and give you 5 games LPQ. If you leave more than that the penalty increases. If you leave less than that the penalty decreases, until you're not even gives LPQ when you leave.

Warning: Data has not been experimentally verified. I don't want to leave games.

you don't get lpq for leaving one...or three....games over vast amount of non-afk games.

There are forgiveness built into LeaveBuster, think of them like sick days at work.

You are allocated certain amount of sick days per years (forgiveness from LeaveBuster). Most jobs, you can use your "sick day" for any reason just like you can be forgiven by LeaveBuster for afk for any reason for certain amount of times (more if you play more non-afk games).

You can either use your forgiveness for emergency situations or you can use it for games like those. The LeaveBuster doesnt care for the reason.

You DO NOT get LPQ for leaving "one" game if you havent done it in a long time....

I didn't afk, I didn't get low-priority queue. I dodged at character select screen because my teammates openly admitted they were useless trolls. Upon trying to requeue, instead of getting the standard 3-5 minute block from queue that usually occurs when the game doesn't actually start, I got a 15 minute block. I wasn't LPQ, I couldn't queue at all. I don't do this frequently, and by not doing this frequently I mean to say I probably dodged five queues at character select for the entire year of 2017. And always because one or more of the people I got teamed up with made it apparent they were going to make the gaming experience awful. Either through hateful speech (such as chanting ni**er over and over again, for example), or outright admitting they were going to feed/troll.
