People in bot games

I recently played a bot game with the intention of building a rage blade on Jinx first item(bad idea, that's why i do it in bots)

Since bot lane is already taken, I go top with an Irelia. I've played enough bot games to know that either someone buys a support item or you share the farm with some unspoken barter system usually 3 for 3 then the cannon is fair game.

However, in this game specifically. Irelia waited for me to attack the minions and would then Q to each one killing a whole lane without me ever seeing a drop of gold. Naturally, I decided quietly to myself that I would get a support item, probably an ancient coin. problem is that it cost 350 gold, and I don't have any gold. I waited, hoping that I could snag a few minions and get my item then the game could go on.

but this went on for about 3 or 4 waves of minions. I had just over 300 gold, she had already killed our lane opponents and I didn't get any assists. I called her out at last and told her to let me get at least a minion.

She retorted that it was a bot game and that we didn't need farm. That triggered me, and that is what's making me write this.

Why do people think bot games are special and that normal rules don't apply? The game mechanic is to get farm, get gold, get items, get objectives, win the game. Why, in a bot game, do I no longer need gold? Why, in a bot game, do I no longer need blue buff when I try and jungle. Bot games are not special, it's still the same game. The only difference is that I'm not playing against people and I have a 99.9% chance to win.

and just for interest's sake, at the end of the game, I had 100 farm, 8 kills, 9 204 gold, 1 complete item and boots. Irelia had 165 farm, 26 kills, 15 287 gold and 3 complete items with boots.

I complain a lot on these forums, I'll be the first to admit it, but when shit like this happens it makes me wonder why does anyone even bothers playing league. Feel free to tell me I'm an idiot and to stop crying, I play league of legends, I hear it every other game.

Irelia may have been practicing last hitting. That's a fairly common use for bot games.

Bot games are like blind pick in that there is no meta enforcement at all.

People do what they want to do, and really, that's ok.

Some people want to get the first win of the day at the same time every day. Some people want to try silly builds. Some people want to duo jungle with Mordekaiser/Sona. Some like feeling powerful and getting a lot of kills. Some like pressuring objectives. Some like getting every dragon at spawn. Some like to solo top/bot so they can practice weaving csing with favorable trading.

People play to have fun. So, you too can play to have fun. If you focus on that part, it may be less frustrating that other people aren't doing what you want.

Was this Beginner or Intermediate? That's actually a very reasonable result for a Beginner game. It's rare that I manage to complete a second item, and getting 100 farm while competing with another player in lane is quite good. If it's Intermediate, well, it's not that bad.

The bots games are there to help players learn the very basics. Since you get a lot of new players there, and the opponents don't jungle, the metas go out the window. Don't expect anybody to use anything resembling good strategy. I just roll with whatever I end up with. I've had to play everything from two marksmen mid to solo Janna top or bottom.
