Why does it count as a loss if you dc...?

I just played a game where I was doing really well (6/0) as wukong and then my internet went down I was doing everything that I possibly could to get it back. When it finally came back up I reconnected as fast as I could and we proceeded to win the game but I was ineligible for rewards which I can understand but I also lost lp. I think this is very unfair for people who end up in situations like this because I did not intentionally afk or quit i was trying to win the entire time.

If this is something that rarely ever happens to you (like once or twice a year) I wouldn't worry about it tbh. This is imo more intended for people who KNOW that they have internet problems, and continue to play anyway without fixing them. Consistently getting penalized for having a bad connection is going to make people with bad connections either stop playing, or fix their connection.

Because you're a risk

because if you couldnt lose lp from leaving, nobody on the losing team would be around to see the nexus blow up and the community would have no losses
