Hey guys looking for feedback on how to reform/spend time when a teammate is afk for 20 minutes

  • (this was in jest because our team built 3 tears of the goddess that I pinged, didnt troll in game or nothing but report bots might have thought) Treyce: thats in the highlight reel Treyce: salty y tho (someone in all chat didnt like my highlight reel comment after a flash play) Treyce: are you Treyce: seems like a compliment Treyce: i didnt int Treyce: thank you Treyce: why yes i DO have a brain Treyce: yessir Treyce: do you think champs like ryze and pantheon are considerable as trolling now
    Treyce: they always perform so consistently bad lately (literally chatting to pass time as we have no mid laner, cant flame a dc'd player) Treyce: i feel bad for them

*Master border adc starts calling me out in lane for not hooking or something after he dies 10 minutes into the 4v5, granted i didnt try to help him

I just dont get this game. I cant play it out like a legit 5v5 without losing my cool because ill just feed and get tilted, so I can

A: Afk, get reported, get punished by riot.

B: Try to just soak exp and not be in places I can die, carefully not getting too antsy and typing in the chat whilst wasting 30 minutes of my time because of 1 player who doesnt want to surrender and 1 player who decided to quit the game.

C: Rack up the deaths playing my heart out and get my 12 death blitzcrank game held against me the next game things dont go perfect and my teammates decide to flame the crap out of me, and likely never wash away the stain of tilt that is left from futile struggle against terrible odds

Let me know what you think the appropriate response to these types of situations are. Its not the first time but it is my first punishment, really wanna reform so that I can stop ruining peoples games

being pissed off at afk's shouldnt be a punishable offence. but yknow... sticks and stones and all that doesnt apply on the internet you horrible evil mean person saying mean things.

So are you looking for ways to reform? Or are you trying to see what you did wrong in your chatlogs?

Reforming is a mindset, but it does start with understanding what isn't acceptable. Just understanding what isn't acceptable in this game probably will not lead you to be reformed.

So what do you want us to give you advice on?

If you're just looking for a way to help ease the tilt, I would just shift your priority from winning the game to practicing something you want/need to improve as an individual. What this does is get you away from the idea that winning is the sole way to progress as a player in a losing game (which feels terrible), and instead allow you to feel like you can at least walk away having gained something (in this case practice/experience on something that may be holding you back on an individual level). You may still lose the game. You may even come back and win it (Yay). But regardless of the outcome, you will be better for it.

I like to put league onto only half the screen, throw on a youtube video, and farm jungle until the game is over.

if they flame you, /mute all. they're the ones that won't ff a 4v5 lol.

you just can't type negativity in chat, regardless of the situation.

  1. Mute all and just play your game, pretend they are bots.
  2. Have a side screen playing, music, movies, porn, whatever to distract you from your rage.
  3. Aspire to be a better person.
  4. If you said something in rage, own it up and apologize, and Importantly Stop 🛑 typing.
  5. Remember winning is no guarantee that you won't get reported.
  6. Just because a player has not said anything does not mean they are not bothered by you. The quiet ones are more likely to report and write a lengthy report on what they think why you should get banned.

We are not perfect, we all have emotions and sometimes we slip. Just remember it's not suppose to be easy and honour is an accomplishment.

When it's 4v5 and nobody is hard carrying, I think it'd be better to just farm side lanes and the jungle while waiting for the enemies to end. Maybe browse facebook or twitter. Get some tea. Just don't be idle for more than 3 minutes at a time.

I will tell you exactly how LeaverBuster works, so you can avoid it. It's actually pretty simple:

You must have action at least once every 3 minutes. After 3 minutes of inaction, you get flagged AFK and a warning pops up. After 5 minutes of inaction, you get disconnected.

What counts as action? We all know by now that running around in circles in base still gets you LeaverBusted, so movement is not action.

Action, in this case, is interaction with champions or killing units. Taking damage from champions, damaging champions, and healing/buffing/etc. ally champions counts as action. Clearing the jungle and farming side lanes without ever coming in contact with a champion counts as action.

You can be effectively idle without being flagged with LeaverBuster. Just sell all, build BoRK, and farm the jungle. Feel free to alt-tab out while doing so.

another way to tweek the afk penalty is to make it more the 13-23 lp lost by the one player. you make the afk player lose the whole total of lp and the rest of the team loses nothing. going further that player can go negative LP. then is hit with a low priority Q and a negative lp score if meed be. so they have to climb out of say -74 lp . if riot enacts this level of punishment on players who go afk i believe the number of people going afk will drop like a stone.

I would just accept that the game is going to suck. It happens. I usually just try my best to carry (obviously usually unsuccessfully) and comstantly remind myself why we are behind (the afk) so that i dont tilt when i inevitably get outnumbered and fucked. When its over, go smoke a cig/indulge in some other unhealthy vice that contributes to my early death, to untilt, and move on. The ONLY thing I make sure not to do, is insult anyone out of emotion. You gotta keep your emotions in check. Never insult players if you care about your account.

Also when I see my allies start bitching to eachother, as if they dont even realize we have an afk and its a near impossible to win, unfair game, I start throwing the mutes around. No point in adding that extra layer of frustration by reading the complaints of players in the very same situation as I am in. Like why are they bitching? Im here too, you think i like it? No. But you dont see me bitching and moaning in chat. So after saying something like "Remember why were losing" and then ping the player in the fountain, I mute.
