[FOR RIOT DEVELOPMENT TEAM] Before you ban players...
Okay so before anyone says "It's not Riot, it's the LeaverBuster system", just read ahead for a little bit. I know that the system is made to automate the punishment dealt to negative players but Riot can still unban them even if its permanent, and the only reason they do that is if there's a billing conflict or whatever but I have a suggestion that would give Riot a reason to unban the players negative enough to get a perma-ban. I know it sounds completely un-needed and "They got what they deserved" but some people spent a fortune on the game and maybe they have more bad days than others. I have a friend who was pretty upset to see that after a few bad games that they had gotten banned from an account worth 1200$ with 5 years played and I know that he is competitive and it makes him that way but he couldn't have even been prepared because it went from 2 weeks ban to forever. I'm not saying people like this should be let off easy (although I do think that 2 weeks should increase to 4 or something before your account is suspended forever) but i do think that they should have a more serious option that allows them to keep their account, and I have 2 ideas:
Disable Free Chat, Use Pre-Written Chat Messages/Responses: Personally, I believe that this would work perfectly. If chat restrictions didn't work, then this will. This doesn't allow players to be toxic in game, but it still grants access to communicate with your team using generated messages. Ex. "May I please have blue buff?" and "Thanks!" for requesting a simple blue buff from your jungler. "Help top!" in case you need to defend up in the top lane. "Let's take Dragon!" to ask the jungler to help grab Dragon, along with pings can end in a simple, friendly, helpful way to allow the negative players to play on their accounts after all the money and time on them without causing grief in the community.
Reformation Last Chance Form Riot could compose an online reformation course that makes players fill out a form with their Summoner name, chat log (from ban), etc. and then they would have to specifically agree to a statement claiming "I am aware that my next report will indefinitely result in a permanent ban, as this is my Last Chance Form submission." and since they know at that point that if they receive another valid report, they'll have had it coming.
And Finally,
Live Chat with Reporter The only reason this would work is because when my friend was banned, it said that he was among the 0.08% (or somewhere around that) to be negative enough to get permanently banned. That means that this would not occur too frequently. To work things out, the player, a riot employee and the victim of the toxicity could enter a live chat and try to communicate and relieve the tension. This meet could takes place 3 times after a permanent ban but only after the 3rd time being permanently banned the player would have to accept that they have been given a multitude of chances to repair their attitude.
Now, once again, before you say "Oh but LeaverBuster gives you lots of chances" think about players who don't know how it works or are unsure when or if they will lose their account forever. Riot could even simply add a reminder like "Your next offense will result in a 24-Game chat restriction", "Your next offense will result in a 2 week suspension", and finally, "Your next offense will result in your account being suspended permanently". All these things would definitely make a better relationship with the players and most definitely change their attitude because they have been granted a chance to retrieve their years and money on a fun game that they lost because they had a bad day. Please do not comment negatively on this, as it is just a suggestion to keep a well-mannered relationship with those certain negative players, who will be longing for any way at all to get their account back.
Thank you for reading and I hope Riot takes this into thought.[slayer-pantheon-thumbs]
