Riot has created a "Report Culture" and it has ruined the game.

I don't think I've ever seen a game where someone in the lobby calls for a report on another person after the game. Riot has created a "report culture" and it is literally ruining the game. You have a bad game? You damn well best believe you are getting reported after the game. You get bug splatted and accidentally feed because you are disconnected? Reported. I'll be honest, this report culture tilts me into oblivion. Two games ago, I bug splatted and while I was disconnected I gave up a free first blood in a ranked game. You guessed it - it tilted me into oblivion and I started flaming everyone in the chat. I don't think I am a toxic player for the most part. But when someone yells at me for feeding after Riot's bug splat error that hasn't been fixed in god knows how many patches gets me killed and flamed, I am flaming back no questions asked.

So after that game, I got a chat restriction. I was going to try the next match, but when the game started and I saw that I was chat restricted, that literally unleashed all my demons. I did not want to try in that game. In fact it took all my power in me to not run it down mid and just throw my lap top out the window. Luckily I had a good team that sort of un-tilted me by being pretty nice and supportive. But I know damn well if I had a team as toxic as last games - I would be permanently banned right now.

This report culture is a complete joke. Literally every game I am in someone gets reported after the game. "Please report so and so for feeding", "Report this dude he's toxic", "Report this guy he pinged my death timer one time". I have never seen a more sensitive culture in any game ever. Is it the player base? I really do not think so. Riot created this problem by trying to filter their game to the point where it is literal Club Penguin. People know that a Permanent Ban is right around the corner so if someone pisses them off in a game, boom just report them. Takes two seconds to ruin someones day. I would be willing to bet there are millions of people reported every hour.

Not to mention the fact that reporting does jack shit. Someone gets permanently banned they are just going to create a new account. If they are chat restricted they will just build up all their energy and mega flame after the game. People always complain about how their new accounts are always filled with insanely toxic lobbies. Gee - I wonder why, it is all the people who don't give the slightest shit about what happens to their brand new account that they made because their main just got banned. Along with maybe 1-2 brand new players in the lobby.

Riot, please fix your game. It's ridiculous that I am on the verge of being banned because of bug splats. This report culture is a damn joke and doesn't happen in any other game. You've literally ruined your game with the Tribunal and punishments for chat. It is literally Club Penguin at this point.

Riot punishes those who ask for reports. So that part is solved. Of course, it'll continue to happen but it's punishable altogether. As for players being punished, it's because they deserved it due to the fact that they lack the empathy and understanding of mutual respect or just purposely ruining people's for fun by the expense of others. Of course, players are angry while starting over on a new account. It's because the reality of words and actions on the internet finally having consequences sank in. They hate the fact that they can't just say or do whatever they want without acknowledging the fact that there is another human being in the game. They get punished for ruining not only one person's game but everyone else that is playing and doing it frequently. This game doesn't need people attacking each other while trying to have fun, improving their skills, and trying to win all the same time. This is a game, not a chatroom. If players do not have the self-control just to play the game for what it is, then they shouldn't be here in the first place.

You could have just muted and reported. And if you are so mad at something you want to run it down mid, it's time to put the game down and step away.

You openly admitted you flamed people. Of course everyone is going to report you. Riot wouldn’t have punished you for the bug splat even if the whole team reported saying int/afk especially if this isn’t a common occurrence. And the fact hat you were ready to explode and be run it down mid or throw your laptop out is a sign that maybe it’s time to take a breather.

Wait... you got bug splatted.... started doing poorly, and the default acceptable action should be to flame your teammates because you're tilted?

What?!

Riot doesn't care about this game anymore. They've proven that to us time and time again. They want to destroy it by creating mass imbalance. They got sensitive as actual hell and when anyone is even slightly toxic, they punish them for it harshly. And then they wanna release emotes where half of them are toxic af and think that's just fine and dandy. I hate the way riot has become. They've destroyed the game we all loved in more ways than one.
