Gripex gets banned for "Intentional Feeding"

As you may or may not know, Gripex (a popular lee main), was banned for 14 days. He received a notification from Riot linking the match where he inted. Gripex went 1/1/1 in that game. He also had an afk and an actual inter. This specific occurrence just shows how shitty Riot's report system really is (it has been for awhile)

By the time of this comment, he is already unbanned. On the rare occasion a ban is in error, Riot corrects it VERY quickly. Any system will have false positives occasionally when done on the scale Riot's systems are. They're very good at fixing them though.

So if i understany you correctly, you say because of one false case, the whole system is shitty?

Seems legit.

I mean, the other option, that mistakes can happen with a playerbase of almost 100 million people is just implausible.

you don't know the whole story here.

He would have purposely pressed a bunch of "S" to reduce his dmg, he could of not skilled up, he could purposely miss his skill shots. Baiting your team, then backing off and laughing all the way is another. role stealing is also a 14-day ban offense.

Griefing is not just intentional feeding. Trolling is griefing as well and can be 14-day banned.

Don't have enough info to judge.

Yep. If it's true Riot should reverse that ban.

But false positives are going to happen with any behavioral system. The only way to eliminate false positives to not have a system at all.

I have to watch the video, but I comment before video. Intentional feeding does not require death spree. Worst trolls does intentional feed only 1 or 2 times a game, but ensure those deaths tip the balance in the way game is lost. If you would be able to think, you would understand this.

im pretty sure a person needs admit a ban, I dont think the system does it. Which makes it funnier lol

The thread in Reddit was very good. It touched all elements of the system I criticized on EUNE forum, and got constant flame and reports from fanboys and trolls on Forum. The system is really shitty, and there is no way it would ever handle real misery causing intentional feeding.

Even on NA forum I get people telling me context does not matter. I no longer wonder how low quality American education system is. LOL has taught me it is worse than Russian system. Neither teaches people anything but obedience, except for few rich and really talented. Honestly, if anybody says to me context is not important in understanding conversation, that is total proof of really really abundant stupidity.

And always when reporting to support, you get 2 to 5 automatic replies, and case is closed unless you reply to every single one of them. And even then usually last human reply is to get them replay of the game. THus Riot admit they do not have any data of the game or events of the game nor does the logs contain any relevant information.

Except you can always ask for appeal, and the system would adjust over-time given that it's made as a soft system, so what's the big deal?

"Falsus in uno, falsus in omnibus" (false in 1 thing, false in everything) has always been a bit of a rough edge. But it's clearly just silly here.

This reminds me. Recently, I got a notification that action had been taken against a player based on a report I made. Thing is, I only remember reporting people from a couple games where my team fed nonstop like total shit heads. I only made those reports because I was vexed at their feeding. I knew it wasn't intentional. Makes me feel bad to think I probably cause some poor sob got banned for being bad.
