This is genuinely real.. I got a 2 week ban that ends on the 24th.. and I was reading on a facebook group that someone created an account and had their friends report them after every game without him saying anything at all, and he got a restriction from riot eventually leading to a 2 week ban. He msged riot support and they said.. "It looks like you’ve recently been punished for behavioral issues. Players who’ve been punished will no longer earn Hextech Chests through achieving an S rank on the Rift, nor will they earn key fragments after matchmade victories. This restriction will be lifted after your punishment ends and you’ve shown clear improvement. Because it’s based on your personal behavior, there’s no set date or time when this will happen.

I really hope some rioter can confirm if this is real or they are just trolling. I really don't want to lose my account which has rare summoner icons and so much money invested since S2. Can someone please help me out? I made a pledge to myself that I would just /mute all when the game starts. I'm so scared ;_;

sometimes they send a bad example. if you are really not toxic and aren't breaking any rules, you have nothing to worry about. just be extra careful for about 3 months and if you aren't punished, it goes down one step.

you can also send in a ticket asking for more chat logs and if there aren't any real examples and it was riots mistake, they can undo the ban.

for some people, they were rreally toxic in pre/post game chat, which the chatlogs don't show, but riot can still see it and they can still get punished for it.

Looking at that, I'd just assume he blacked out the text. You can't get a chat restriction if you never chat. Punishments strictly for trolling/negative behavior will be escalated to 2 week bans.

There have been a couple cases lately where it shows chat logs in the notice, but the punishment itself isn't actually for chat behavior. Instead, it's due to in-game behavior. Things like intentionally throwing games and stuff can get you punished as well. However, the way the system works, the notice given is based on the types of reports somebody mainly receives. So if people generally aren't sure where to categorize a report, and a lot of them just decide to report for verbal abuse, they wind up with a notice like this that could show blank or basically blank logs.

You've pretty much summed everything up already. Yes you will be on a VERY short leash and basically one or two valid reports and you will lose your account. You have to make sure you dont give anyone a reason to report you. Also yes you wont get hextech rewards for quite a while.
