How long have you been playing the game without any punishment?

Since there seems to be a lot of players complaining about the automated bans or flagging them for behavior that they believe is acceptable, how long have you been playing without being punished or banned?

I think I have been playing for 5+ years and have never had any chat restriction, ban, or punishment. I'm not sure why others find this hard to do.

Well I started early 2014, so since then. They used to give you a notification if you'd been reported a lot so that you'd possibly cut out the behavior (but they stopped that because it was based on report volume and not report accuracy), I got one of those early on and I was like "Woah ok, I guess the League community isn't ok with that, I'll stop now".

Early 2011.

Spring 2012. I would actually have to try to get myself chat restricted.

Infernape12/13/2018, 2:12:57 AM5 votes

Six years. I started playing when Zed came out. I haven't been punished once.

I've been playing since Season 2 without any "Real" punishment. I've had 5 minute low priority Queues twice due to my spotty northwoods internet connection, but nothing at all other than that.

And just to clarify - I use the chat system pretty much every single game, for hundreds of games per season, using /all as well as team based chat.

If you don't act like a hooligan you won't be treated like one.

1 year and im verbally toxic in some games. Players just need to learn how to bypass the automated system.

Since preseason one. I believe I started in Xin Zhao release week.

This is my only account and never got any in-game punishment. Got it since the beginning.

Mama Soraka12/15/2018, 5:34:21 AM3 votes

I've been playing since the open beta period without even a chat restriction.

I started in beta. So that brings me to 10 years now with no punishment.

Started at the end of season 6. I used to get minor punishments for going afk a couple times because i started a game at a bad time/wifi issues but i just got placed in low priority queue.

I created this account about a week before Nocturne was released, so about 7 1/2 years ago. I haven't played that entire time, but still haven't gotten a punishment.

Krigjer12/13/2018, 4:34:14 AM2 votes

I started playing 2012.

I've been punished only once, about three years ago. A 5-game chatban for admittedly toxic chat behavior. While I never cursed or insulted anyone, I was more aggressive than I should have been.

IntegratedShadow12/13/2018, 4:49:21 AM2 votes

I've been playing since July of 2009 I think (I started right before Olaf was released) and all I've had is a LPQ from when my ISP was a total bitch.

Since season 4 when i started with league. Honestly it's pretty easy to not get punished even when you're toxic. Just don't chat? I mean in the end it doesn't matter if u tell them they are bad at the game, because they would never say "yes you are right" because in all honestly, if they are in my elo, your elo or somebodys elses elo, we can assume that over a long number of games those players around our Elo are equal to us. Sometimes we do good, sometimes we do great, sometimes we do bad. We feed and we carry, we tilt hard and sometimes we tilt never. It happens to all of us.

If the average league player does bad in 1out of 10games which i would say is a fair number right? then in every single game on "average" we will meet a player who just has that 1game out of his "10" where he will do bad, because there are 10Players playing right now one of them will have the bad game, assuming we as individuals are doing 1bad game in 10games.

And no matter how many times someone flames him or how bad people trashtalk him, it won't make him play any better. therefore flaming is a waste of time.

If your reasoning for flaming is for example "he just needs to stop dying and i can maybe still carry" well then don't flame him but rather say, "try to play save i can carry this". It's up to your teammates if they are able to do it or not. But i hella know trashtalking will things make only worse, because when i do bad, and players trashtalk me, holy cow did i got tilted in the past from it. until i learned the great option of using /mute all at every single game right from the start :>

Started in S1 so...8 years with no punishments?

Actually I take that back. I got low priority queues a couple of times and a 24 hour ban for leaving games, because my parents didn't understand that I couldn't just leave games at will. But I never got any punishments for toxicity or feeding or anything like that.

Been playing since 2009/Early 2010. No punishments.

Your culture isn't being punished. You find it so easy because you literally don't have to change. You are free to be yourself.

Whereas "toxic" people, have probably been "toxic" their entire lives. They have to put effort into changing their culture or suffer punishments.

Consider anger management classes. No one goes to a single class and is magically cured. It takes time and effort. The same for alcoholics anonymous. The same for any behavior really.

Deneviel12/13/2018, 7:41:50 AM2 votes

Since beta and never got punished :/ ... but i pretty much dropped the game since mid s8. Plaing on my MA just to complete quests occasionally

Tegash12/13/2018, 8:04:06 AM2 votes

I started at the beginning of Season 5 and haven't had a single punishment to date.

Baka Red12/13/2018, 8:26:06 AM2 votes

I have been playing for around five years now I think without punishments. Well, unless you count the speeding ticket I got a month or two ago? sigh

ModPrandine12/13/2018, 9:29:31 AM2 votes

I've been playing since the S2 Snowdown Showdown and have never been warned or banned. Do I get angry and frustrated sometimes? Absolutely, but I don't take it out on others in-game.

Unemployed Ninja12/13/2018, 9:53:30 AM2 votes

Since November, 09. Literally right after Beta, before the first public champion release of Udyr. Still never been punished or warned for anything.

Firu12/13/2018, 10:50:56 AM2 votes

I don’t recall exactly but before there were seasons. Never had a chat restriction or punishment.

Edit. I recall getting a pop-up warning once (does the system still do that?) when I was grouped with someone. I thought we were fine because we were joking. I didn’t think that it would hurt my other teammates experience. I realized I was negatively affecting their game and acting in a way I was not proud of. It was so jarring that I stopped engaging in that behavior at all.

Autrah Fang12/13/2018, 11:42:43 AM2 votes

I've been playing since shortly before Yorick's first free week back in 2011, and before Leona's release, so a little over 7 years. The most I got was a single warning for my chat back in season 2-3. No punishments outside of that though. I started this game when I was 15. However, if I started the game now and acted the way I did back then, I may have gotten a chat restriction or two lol, but I don't think I would've escalated to a ban. Just like how I learned my lesson from my first warning back then.

I have 3 perm'd accounts and the last one was permd earlier this year :(

RonryTeemo12/13/2018, 9:03:30 PM2 votes

4 or 5 years now, no issues at all. Not even a warning.

zPOOPz12/13/2018, 1:54:41 AM1 votes

Season 3. Never chat restriction or any type of punishment. I afk'd involuntarily a few times, but ever in any frequency relative to my games played to warrant any LeaveBuster punishment yet.

Joseraph12/13/2018, 2:25:29 PM1 votes

Since season 4. I haven't ever even been leaver buster'd (Though I have had to leave some games)
