What's the point?

So I've been waiting for Season 9 to begin cuz I finally wanted to get higher than gold for once. Usually, I'm pretty lucky in preseason. My Kata plays have been getting better over the past 2 years and I've probably done the best outplays in my history of playing with Kata since her rework. Sadly though, I'm not that lucky this season.

Why are people playing in ranked right after the new season starts, just to give up? I have a 40% winrate right now (And its not always for my poor performance, although I'm performing worse and worse the past few games). I've played 15 games in mid and in 2/3 of those games I've had players just give up fully or instead of playing just flaming and sluring those who peform poorly. It wouldn't be a problem, but sadly I'm also fighting people that are as good as me or even better. So solo carrying is kinda impossible, considering that this still is a team game and that I'm not a god.

I know that its normal at the start of the season to see toxic players crawling out of the rabbit holes. I've gotten back 5 instant feedback cards after reporting those players, which also means they were toxic in previous games too. I even had a game where I had premades just leave the game at min 0 cuz they didn't like enemy comp.

What's the point of playing ranked if you don't even play? Why do you people think that its necessary to do those things? I've been checking PB boards and of course are they filled to the top with "I've been banned" posts or w/e else is there.

This post/rant is kinda useless but I honestly needed something to let my anger out. Ty for reading this.
