My experience with 14 Day bans and "excessive toxicity" denying end of season rewards.

Mr Sandman, your League of Legends account has been suspended

Hello Summoners/Rioters To begin, I would like to state that I have been playing, and watching League of Legends since mid season 2, and I am here to argue my case on why I think I deserve my end of season rewards, even though I am coming off a 14 day ban. Now 90% of you are just going to read my ban link and say "Ok, ban well deserved" and I totally agree. However, I disagree with being punished twice in a row by getting my end of season rewards ripped away from me. The worst part is I never experienced any warnings like a chat/ranked restriction, unlike thousands of other "toxic" league players who are getting off with a mere slap on the wrist, all who will be getting their rewards. But because I got detected by the anti toxic system, an instant 14 day ban kicks me out of champ select. On the day of my ban, I queued up for my promo into gold 3 at 3 am, deprived of sleep, which was an error of judgement. But I was coming off a win streak so what could go wrong right? But after the enemy draven got fed, and our midlaner disconnected, I lost my temper after trying to orchestrate a comeback. I said some stuff that is completely unacceptable, and I regret it completely, I also bought 5 tear of the goddesses right before the games end to show my sadness to the world through my match history. (like Lustboy did in the NALCS) But my build before that was all meta Vladimir items. (WOTA, Ludens, Spirit Visage) I was genuinely trying to win my promo match regardless of chat or the AFK.

As a result of this chain of events, I was booted from my second promo queue with my 14 day ban. Ok, ill just take a break from league, no big deal right? Wrong. My entire seasons grinding has been flushed down the toxicity toilet. "Some players will be ineligible for rewards this season for excessive verbal abuse and hate speech" -Riot Lyte, from his ask fm. Ok, fair enough, but one part of this statement caught me off guard for a number of reasons, one; I had no idea this was a rule being enforced, so it completely blind sided me before I could change it, and secondly; the use of the word "excessive". To me, only one bad/toxic game isn't excessive even though it is wrong. For instance, one toxic game could be excessive enough to warrant the 14 day ban, but not the entire end of season rewards. I know that one game means a lot to all 10 summoners and I blew it for them, but excessive to me means repeated, consistent and plentiful. But in my instance, one bad game is considered excessive, as opposed to other summoners who are getting excessive chat restrictions, but no real punishment like a ban. My belief is that one bad and toxic game that I wholeheartedly regret, shouldn't make my 250 non-toxic ranked games obsolete. In fact I am usually a positive force for my team, but we all make mistakes now and then. After all I am only human.

I just feel like I spent so much time and effort into ranked all for nothing after reading that I would be unable to get my rewards, I was going to go for plat but now this just makes me view league as less of a competitive/party game, and more of a social experiment where punishing players is more prominent than the gameplay itself. Once again I feel horrible about the things I typed, and I should be able to calm down in the heat of the moment especially when talking to other players. I am working on controlling my anger and just taking deep breaths instead of mercilessly typing away some useless swear words that I feel bad about an hour later. I just want a second chance to prove I am able to maintain calm and positive interactions with players. Please, I just fear the day when all my friends will be constantly poking fun at me for being too much of a toxic player whilst wearing their shiny new boarders and victorious skins. Any & all response is welcome.

Thank you so much for reading. -Mr SandmanVladimir

"nigga fuck you" "someone fucking ddos their team" "unistall before you throw more games" "this draven is so fed becuase of u guys blowing cock" "why do i get such shitters in promos"

imo gold rank isnt even high enough to be deserving of season rewards like victorious skin

You don't get a 2 week from one game actually, you have to be toxic repeatedly, the current system however only shows one game.

Good, we're on the same page. Ok, ban well deserved. Moving along now.

What i dont understand is why people feel the need to get smaller punishment for something they did wrong. if you know your actions are punishable why do you think you need a "free pass" with say a chat restriction before an actual ban? If that was the case then too many people would get chat restriction, get reformed, and continue the process for how ever long they can. If you were that toxic which just by this one game/chat log can prove then you shouldnt be allowed a free chat restriction for your behavior.

Thats not including all the other possible times you have been toxic towards others. it seems like you cannot handle yourself in that situation, and who ever looked through your account decided that a 2 week ban was needed. just be happy that it wasnt a permaban and learn from this if you actually believe you can reform!

its not that bad if you miss out on one season reward. if anything work for making next season your goal!

they said they are looking in to if people have been banned but have tried to reform since.

I think you got lucky with only a 14 day ban. Sure, you don't get season rewards but you should be happy that you still have an account. IMHO you deserve a perma ban.

Why do people who have been banned always come back and act all professional and polite LOL. Rekterino pepperino

I assume if you still play next season such behavior will not occure.

No one can fix and AFKer, sorry you had one in mid.

And we all have bad days. Sounds like you had a Cait and Leona bot who struggled with a Draven? The thing with Draven is is that he can snowball a lane early if he gets a kill/BF first, and trades very easily. However, if you saw a Draven getting dangerous, you should have instead taken steps to eliminate him early because he is incredibly vulnerable to ganks (I'm assuming you were top or jungle). Instead of flaming them and generally making their life miserable, you should have been encouraging. There have been games where I do poorly and my teammates are really horrible to me and it just lowers my esteem and confidence, and makes me feel really crushed. Yeah, I'm doing bad, which my or may not be my fault. Have I been countered? Is my lane being camped? Etc, etc. Then there are games where I give up a few kills early or miss oppotunities, and my team is still supportive. They tell me no sweat or just do better next time, and I am emboldened by their supportive words and I feel much better in general, allowing me to do well in the future and work as a team. It is always better to have the latter.

The ban is perfectly normal. You got caught being a jerk and innapropriate in chat, and you're being calley out on it. It's no use crying that other people got away with it too, because there are millions of people who play League and millions of toxic or frustrated players, so naturally some slip through the system. You said some horrible things, Riot made it clear in 5.15 that that was a Nono, and they are Ice Blasting you for it. Be glad your account didn't get Absolute Zero'd.

However, the end-of-season rewards thing is a bit out of hand. I agree with you- you had one lousy game and a lousy attitude about it, doesn't mean you should have a season-wide punishment such as having the end-of-season rewards revoked, and I can feel your frustration about that specific thing.

Although, in the other hand, what you said was pretty horrible and I can see why the Tribunal would inflict harsh punishment for it. You keep complaining that you want a fresh start or a warning or whatever- this is it. Quit your bitching and seize the day, and hopefully you'll enjoy Season 6 as much as the rest of us.

Well, you said some hurtful things, I report people for saying things like GG EZ or saying I am bad, I currently have 2 gold accounts and understand the players below the threshold of gold may piss you off but try to be nice. I have been chat banned once for an irrelevant reason so now I just sit back and only say positive things. If I am flamed I just report the person and go on with my life. about once every 3 games I report someone. What I am trying to say is what you did was wrong but seriously people like you do not deserve a second chance. I am disgusted by some of your chat logs. nigga fuck you" you think this is ok? like I can understand you saying jinx stop feeding and being mad about a ban but you really saw no flaw in saying "nigga fuck you". item 3070 item 3070 item 3070 item 3070 item 3070 I would of reported you and hoped for a Perma ban, you got lucky

Don't post here. All you will get is people furiously beating their justice boners.

Make a smurf, take a break; in other words deal with it.

As a side note, the word "nigga" is not cool. It doesn't make you look cool, and I highly doubt you would use it in public. Just because you listen to rap music does not mean you can repeat what you hear in any social situation. Don't believe me? Go say nigga around a group of black people.
