9 Wins and 1 Loss = Bronze 4?

So I finally completed all my ranked games and surprisingly ended up winning 9 out of the 10 games. My KDR (Kill Death Ratio) in each of these games was very good and the average was about a 3.5 KDR. Continuing on with the story now, I complete my last game which I had played with my silver 1 friend that was gold 3 last year and we win. I get a pop up saying that I have been placed in bronze 4 and a "good luck summoner" note. At the end of last season I was bronze 3 and in preseason, silver 3. I am writing this to prove how bugged leagues placement algorithm is.

It's not bugged. It will always place you in a lower tier.

It's not bugged. It's pretty much impossible to get placed in a higher division than you ended last season. The reason for this is the highest anyone can get at the beginning of the season is plat. This means that all the diamond, masters and challenger players get placed into platinum. This forces all the plat players into gold, all the gold players into silver, and all the silver players into bronze. This means that bronze players are typically forced into bronze 4 and bronze 5 regardless of how "well" they do in their placements.

Also, your MMR is more strongly influenced by your first 5 games than your last 5 games of your provisonals. What this means is that winning your last game with your silver friend had a negligible influence on your MMR. If you had played the first couple games with him that might have had a larger impact. Finally, winning 1 game in silver elo doesn't mean you deserve to be there.
