THE LEAGUE OF BRONZE SERIES (LBS)

HardStuck4Lyfe··64 votes·19,661 views

Not the best, but giving their best

This is the quote id like to associate with this project of mine. Next week the League of Bronze Series, or LBS kicks off. It is essentially a mock lcs that showcases silver and bronze players. Comprised of 32 teams, they will face off each week, harnessing their latent potential, to increase their skills as league of legend players. Below i will include a break down of how the whole lbs will work. It will be streamed over two channels and all matches will happen on nearly every saturday roughly between the times of 1pm est to 9:30pm est / 11am pst - 6:30pm pst

Tournament Series Breakdown: Teams will face in a 14 week season, the first half from 3/5 - 4/16, in single match games. A W/L ration will be collect from every team currently playing. Teams are put into brackets, or divisions, of 8 teams to face off against. Once these matches are completed, the 2 best teams from each division will face off in a mini tournament (Spring Split). This tournament will have no impact on the teams standing going forward but be used as a means of what to expect further on. The tournament will span 3 weeks, 4/23 - 5/7.

After the spring split is complete, teams will have a week break and pick back up facing in single match games from 5/21 - 7/2 to finish the second and last part of the LBS season. Once teams have completed their 14 week season, the best 16 teams, 4 teams per division, will go into a MOCK WORLDS TOURNAMENT. This will happen over a whole month, going from single elimination matches, to a best of 3 series in the semi finals, to a best of five series in the championship match.

Additional Information: (tinyurl links were used cause google excel links are HUGE) A listing of all the teams can be found here: http://www.tinyurl.com/rosterLBS A listing of matches can be found here: http://www.tinyurl.com/LBSmatches

We will have a youtube set up so that any missed matches can be rewatched

Our twitter is http://www.twitter.com/Lol_Lbs

Our twitch channels are: www.Twitch.tv/LeagueOfBronzeSeriesT1 will broadcast the matches from Divisions 1 and 2 www.Twitch.tv/LeagueOfBronzeSeriesT2 will broadcast the matches from Divisions 3 and 4 (edit: stopped them from being links cause it was embedding the channel)

The http://www.facebook.com/lbsna is our official facebook page which you can also follow for information on the LBS as the success of this may lead to future tournaments down the line.

WE HOPE YOU TAKE THE TIME TO CHECK US OUT!!! IT WOULD MEAN ALOT TO ALL THE STAFF AND TEAMS WORKING AND COMPETING IN THIS!!! A LOT OF EFFORT HAS GONE IN THIS AND WE GRATEFULLY THANK YOU ALL!!!!

degrading how. were showcasing their improvement. were highlighting their growth.

That actually doesn't sound like a bad idea, assigning a high ranking coach to help them improve as well as going through the tournament showing their improvement as well as the coaches teaching methods. I love it.

HardStuck4Lyfe2 votes

Thank you!. we actually pulled in roughly 45 potential coaches that had seen potential with this project. Currently finalizing the last few steps so that week one goes without a hitch. Hope to see you there.

GinjabredMonsta2 votes

I'll definitely be checking it out man.

Is there a way to get in if, say, this continues next season?

Adessaa3 votes

where and how did you find your players? I see the rosters and saw some open sub spots on teams would it be too late to put my name in the hat? I have been in B5-B4 from s3 till now,

Can I join? Or did i miss the signup time

harrythepenguin4 votes

Essentially what all these other noobs said. How do i get in for a second season if not this one?

Sonas Panties2 votes

I always thought that would be a cool web series of some sort. Have 10 teams of Bronze players (to mimic LCS). Assign a high-elo coach or capable streamer to each, and have them play weekly on the days that Riot doesn't officially stream others. Get Phreak and Kobe on-board, and you're golden.

It's not about degrading Bronze players, it's about showing how much they could improve under the right kind of guidance.

This is genius!

HardStuck4Lyfe5 votes

thank you. this is essentially a 5 month brain child coming to life. i hope you tune in!!!

Brascus2 votes

I hope we don't end up seeing LCS team comps though, I'm interested in this because these teams have (relatively in comparison) nothing to lose and have more room to do silly things. If anything I'd like to see out of control champs prohibited by default so we can see a more diverse champ pool played.

I'm hopeful that this will focus on the fun/whimiscal side of LoL rather than the min/max number crunching of the LCS which is incredibly boring right now.

I'm subbed looking forward to what comes! Also if you need help with the channel art I might be able to help :)

HardStuck4Lyfe2 votes

Make sure to sub to the twitch channels rather then to the youtube channels (see it live vs recaps)

The shoutcasters may seem LCS ish (again we are mocking them) but again these are bronze and silver kids. They are gonna play what they feel like playing most.

I do not expect it to be boring at all.

There aren't any twitch links in the OP :o

Edit: There are but they're not hyperlinked for some reason, you know the orange glow thing Edit: Try putting in the https://

HardStuck4Lyfe2 votes

I edited it cause they embedded instead of linking ><

DadStopHurtingMe2 votes

Are there still spots open to help? Sub spots? Coaching? Analysts? Starters?

Rhòmbus1 votes

So, when the whole season ends, will you reset everything so that new teams can join the league? Also, is this only eligible for Bronze players?

PaladinOne2 votes

If this works well enough this year, we do intend to do it again next year, so yes.

Krippaify1 votes

This is stupid... Smurfs will just dominate the league

A couple situations have already arose. One where a player was determined to be a gatekeeper player and had lied about their experience when signing up was removed during first week and game was replayed. This week my captain was accused of being a smurf. Was verified he is not of course but proper investigation was made by officials.

Tamruan1 votes

That's well over 160 players to manage. How will the attendance be dealt with? What happens with teams that don't have their full roster and subs available during the match up?

HardStuck4Lyfe2 votes

Essentially its 256 players at max including coaches if all teams fill to the max 8. In worst case scenario we host the other channel, or direct you to the other channel in the mean time.

THIS IS A BEAUTIFUL IDEA AND I WANT TO WATCH IT SOOOO BAD

Hey guys, so the situation is dire ( kinda). Don't know how many of you know about the league of bronze series tournament that will be starting tommorow so here you go, its starting tommorow. I'm the team captain of one of the participating groups of the 36 teams ( or 32 I forget) , and two of my players bailed on me ( my adc and my supp. So the bottom line is if you want to join the team for the tournament message me. You can't be higher elo than silver 1 , there is a prize at the end of the tourney but the main point is to play for fun and use the tournament to improve. Message me on here league or Skype .

Summoner name : jrocka263 Skype : jrocka262

Hit me up if you want to join. Cheers! ;]

NEED ADC PLAYER AND A SUB FOR MID

Have a bump, I only started watching about 2/3 of the way into the schedule due to time zones.

There were some minor tech issues, some teams drama that I missed and I personally have some tips for one of the caster duos but overall a successful first round.

Looking forward to things running smoothly next weekend with those first hiccups out of the way ;)

WEEK 2 IS STARTING IN ROUGHLY 1 HR!!!!

Wanderp1 votes

I think this is a wonderful idea! I'm tired of people bagging on us, instead of helping us be better players. TY for spreading the positive vibes! I will join the next one haha.

Can I join or am I too late?
