2015 Ranked season soft reset?

Okay so season 4 I was put in Bronze 4, I did however climb my way out of the depths of hell to end in silver 5 by the time season 4 ended. during the preseason I figured I could still try to climb to make my 2015 season rank higher. I did climb to silver 2 which is where i currently sit. I sat happily in my chair thinking that I would have no worries about going back to bronze(hell), until i read today that you will be going off where the season ended, not where the preseason ranking has ended, also you're doing another soft reset so basically I'll be thrown in bronze because you did say that i would most likely finish in a lower ranking.
