Why was I suspended?

I just want to ask the league community if they can help me spot why I received a two week suspension. Riot gave me a copy of everything I said in the match I was supposedly banned for. So you get a complete experience just imagined in between all my sentences the katarina on my team is calling me a "c**t" and saying how she is going to feed the enemy team.

I feel two weeks is a little harsh as I don't even believe I was toxic but maybe somebody will be able to point it out to me.

This type of behavior is unacceptable in this community. When there is nothing good to say, don't say anything at all. As a community, we also don't believe that retaliation is an appropriate response, so in cases where there is retaliation, both players receive penalties. You explicitly threatened or called for reports four times in there (by which I mean you used the word "report" in either claiming you would report someone or in calling for others to report). That's not considered acceptable behavior.

You - in an extremely negative fashion - dumped your team drama all over the enemy team. That's not considered acceptable behavior.

Your passive-aggressive insults and sarcasm aren't lost on the average reader, here. And they aren't considered acceptable behavior.

So, yes. You were toxic. As for whether you were toxic enough in this one game for a 2-week ban? Well, that's not for me to say.

Tecnicaly, saying "report X person" in chat is a reportable offense, so yea, deal with it

I understand that now but before this happened I didn't. If I believed more reports = higher chance of punishment for toxic player I'd try to get the enemy team to report. Since the only "justified" reason for my suspension I've seen so far is that I said "report kat" 2 weeks sounds kinda ridiculous. Everyone I know that plays league says "report x player for (offense)" and they don't consider it toxic or a threat. So if league really does consider "report x player" a threat they need a better way to tell us that.

I can't remember where the actual Riot posts are (this is from a list compiled by another player that Riot agreed to pin in the old forums), but I have no doubt they have similar protections on the current system. Like I said, they don't want random solo players to get in trouble just because premade groups decide to gang up on them.

Like I understand I probably should've just muted him ,but seriously 14 day suspension for talking? I'd see a one or two day ban as justified but 14 days is absurd.

The first thing I saw was that you let yourself get dragged into an argument over breaking meta. Not something I would report or vote punish on, but then you announce plans to report them. Not once, but I counted four times, including your last line of the game.

I counted at least 10 comments about Kat feeding. If she was doing it intentionally to bother you, congratulations on reinforcing her behavior. If not, there's no reason to tell her something she already knew.

Four times you specifically call her and/or kog toxic.

What I see in your chat log is that you let yourself get baited into arguing. You may think you need to "defend" yourself, but your best defense is actually to say nothing. In >4 years, I've never seen anyone punished for Refusing to Communicate.

My advice next time someone starts an argument or tries to fling insults at you, mute them and report them without announcing it or asking anyone else to report. If they keep trying to start something and you don't respond, they'll be the ones looking like jerks, and if they try to report you, they'll just get flagged for false reporting.

So I just reread The Summoner's Code http://gameinfo.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/game-info/get-started/summoners-code/ and the Code of Conduct http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/legal/termsofuse. No where does it say that saying "report x player" is bad. Of course it says "C. Harassing, stalking, or threatening any other users in the Game;" but how is asking others to report a player threatening? Is saying "This guy is robbing places report them to the police with me" threatening?
