I don't know what to do anymore

I have played at least 5 games today, and only one of them was toxic free. I have been called an autistic %%%%%%, that I am worthless, I am a r%%%%%, I need to delete the game, I am bad, and that I need to never play again. I am also constantly stuck with people who will rage at one mistake or who will blame teammates even if they have done nothing wrong. Does tribunal even work? Why am I always surrounded with people like this when I play? I even have a green sash around my name for not being a prick, but I still get place with these kinds of people. Does riot even care that thy have one of the worst communities? I am only in silver 5 (had 99 LP in silver 4 at one point) and I have heard that it will only get worse as you go up in rank. I have also pumped well over 100$ into this game to have poor service.

Will anything ever be done about this?

Don't worry about those people. Just try to ignore them. It is hard because even though you can mute people, you need to talk to them to do good. But just prove them wrong, and try your best. Honestly, that's all you can do for now until they release the new ranked restrictions.

i'm also sick of that kind of behaviour, some words like "you should get cancer" or "you're mentally retarded" should not be tolerated and if there are people that keep saying this things over and over again is because punishments of RIOT are not being harsh enough! This new system of ranked restrictions could solve some problems but not all of them. I think it would be nice that those players also receive some LP penaltys or, in worst cases, being demoted 1 rank (from G5 to G4 for example).

This is a serious problem that RIOT has to take into account because, as a player of LoL for 3 years, this is maybe the only thing that would make me leave the game.

Here's what works for me:

Give a toxic person one chance to stop. Firmly but politely say something like "That kind of language is unnecessary and counterproductive. Please stop." It doesn't usually work but you need to make the toxic person know that you're actively opposed to their behaviour and not just quietly sucking up their contempt. If they keep it up, mute and report them.
Encourage your team mates. This is especially important if you're not the target of the toxic person's rage. Be anti-toxic. Praise what they do well. Be gracious even when they do poorly. Let them know that you're not in silent agreement with the toxic person but that you vocally disagree.

These steps may not decrease the number of toxic people in the community but they can help to stabilize individual games. Other anti-toxic individuals are more likely to befriend you if you take a stand. If you queue up even with one such person, then you'll know that you have at least two anti-toxic people on your team.

I disagree with the saying that it gets worse as you climb. I personally climbed from silver 5 to gold 1 this season. I can't say everyone in high gold is nice, but the average quality is definitely better. I have to say that the tier you are currently at (S5) has one of the worst community in the game I believe. Do your best to stay positive, and if you can't, mute them. Do not let yourself fall into the same category as them.

Though I haven't played any ranked games I have only had a couple games so far that didn't have any toxic players. I haven't had anything serious like what has happened to you, but it's all been pretty constant. Have a lot of players who are just disrespectful to their team mates, then you have the ones trolling and intentionally feeding. It's pretty much a common occurance now and quite annoying. It takes the fun out of playing when all you see are toxic players.
