After the last update, MalwareBytes-Antimalware detected LoL (C:\Riot Games\League of Legends\RADS\projects\lol_air_client\releases\0.0.1.196\deploy\LolClient.exe) as a virus, and LoL luncher is crushing every time I boot the program. RIOT HELP !!!!!!!!

Hey guys,

Riot xNymia here, I work in the InfoSec team. Im working with Malwarebytes right now to get this false positive removed.

The False positive was introduced to their viral definitions in the latest update, you can work around this my whitelisting the Riot Games / League folder in the malwarebytes configuration.

Ill be back with an update once I have confirmation that malwarebytes are working on it.

Update: FP report is in, still waiting to hear back from them. Keep whitelisting if you have this issue, then repair via launcher!

Update2: Malwarebytes have confirmed false positive and are updating their definitions to remove this. Hurrah!

(Yes I know I don't have a flare, I'm new and working on getting it!)

Well I think you have two options.

  1. Uninstall the anti virus protection
  2. Go into the program, find league and select it or something so it's allowed to open.

Just have it ignore League, problem solved.
