Riot talk to me; You're about to lose a player since season 1 (not that any of that matters to you)

Why does Riot constantly tend to take what random people report into account when there is no time for the tribunal to even review the case before they ban players? I just got out of a game and was DC'd only to find out that Riot had banned my account from today until the 20th! I said nothing that wasn't true to my players and the game was a decent one AND I had several games before the one riot deemed unsportsmanlike without any incident. I would much rather if someone from riot would actually talk to me (which I understand they have many people who are in the same issue as I am and they don't have enough employees to hit each person) but they just ban people for no reason and without just cause. Riot PLEASE talk with me and solve this issue I've been playing since season one and have spent PLENTY of money on your game and spread the word of it across many different forums if you don't care about us players then just say so,I'll stop sending new players to you and I'll go find some other game to play (I spend a LOT of time on FFXIV instead of your game that hates their player base); if you actually care about my service give me a heads up, but I get the feeling you don't give not one but TWO fucks about us as a community. I'll be awaiting ANYONE from riot to respond (which I already know you won't since you're "sooooooooo busy")

Hiya!

While I don't have access to your account, so I can't pull up chat logs or the like, I can shed a bit of light on the player reform system that we've most recently put in place.

Why does Riot constantly tend to take what random people report into account when there is no time for the tribunal to even review the case before they ban players?

The system has set up to validate reports, which means that false reports will not count against you. When this system was initially rolled out, the team handling the new reform system reviewed the few several thousand cases the system reviewed to ensure it was working properly (not false banning, etc.).

I just got out of a game and was DC'd only to find out that Riot had banned my account from today until the 20th!

If you're curious about your ban, please feel free to submit a ticket to Player Support. They'd be able to look into your account a bit more and provide more information.

You should have also received a reform card, sent to your email, which shares your chat logs, as well as the resulting punishment.

I said nothing that wasn't true to my players and the game was a decent one AND I had several games before the one riot deemed unsportsmanlike without any incident.

While what you're saying may have been true - someone doing poorly, not grouping etc., were you saying it in a manner that was constructive? While I can understand frustration in game - I think we've all been there - there's a right and a wrong way to call a teammate out when they're doing poorly. Phrases like, "WTF are you doing Teemo, group up" isn't optimal, whereas something like, "Hey Teemo, we really need to fight as five, can you stop pushing top and group mid?" is something that is much more constructive.

if you don't care about us players

We do care! Unfortunately, there are a lot more of you than there are of us, which makes one on one communication a bit harder than it used to be.

If you'd like more information on the new player reform system, you can check out Lyte's post here. There's also an article on our values when it comes to punishments, if you're curious about that, too.

Hope this helps a bit!

As a former US Airman, I find it insulting that you try to use your service as an excuse. I'm sorry about your PTSD and about losing your dog, but that doesn't give you the right to throw out insults. Stuff you might say with your Marine buddies is taken much differently when it's a bunch of strangers. Instead of acting like you're in the barracks, act like your standing in front of your CO.

I've played since Season 1, too. I've also never had a punishment against my account. Yeah, I've never bothered to grind out of Bronze (I mostly find normals to be more fun), but to hear all the forum noise, I should have had at least one false punishment by now. I'm still "waiting".

This forum isn't where you go to get a response from Riot. There are Rioters who read the boards, but they can't possibly reply to everyone who asks. There is a link at the top of this page that says "SUPPORT". Click there, then click Account — My Account Is Suspended — Can you give me more details — please submit a ticket here — choose "I have a question about League of Legends/Riot Games" from the dropdown and fill out that page. Under "Description", say "I recently received a ban for behavior but I did not receive any detailed information. If you look, I'm sure you'll see that I haven't done anything wrong. If you don't agree, please show me exactly what I said or did that got me banned." This is the appropriate way to get a response from a Riot employee who can help you.

However...

I have a feeling you already know what you did that was bannable.

I said nothing that wasn't true to my players and the game was a decent one

Does it really matter whether what you said was TRUE? I'm sure you know that's not what's important. Abuse, even if it is nothing but true statements, is not allowed. If you hadn't been abusing anyone, wouldn't you have posted "I said nothing that wasn't NICE"?

Since you were abusive, I'm sure Riot will not lift the ban. You'll have to wait it out, and you should be on your best behavior when you return. Keep in mind that you were not banned for a single game; you were banned for exhibiting reportable behavior on a regular basis, and those reports are coming from other League of Legends players. Other people that you play with choose to report you far more than anyone else gets reported. You should understand what a bad sign that is. Do your best to not say or do anything that would cause players to want to report you, and you will be fine.
