Why 16 champs? I'll explain

Ok. So for all the people who are wondering why you need to own 16 champs in order to play rank I will explain it. ahem It's so you can actually play rank. Now a bit more detail. Let's say you are the last pick of the last team. There is a total of 6 champs that can be banned. 3 from your side and 3 from theirs. Now there is a total of 9 people in front of you. 5 on their team and 4 on yours. That brings the possibility of the amount of champs that can be removed from your pick up to 15. So to ensure such an astronomically rare occurrence doesn't happen that would end up making you have to quit and disband the game. Riot made it so you need 16 champs to play. just in case. As to why doesn't the free champs count towards the 16 you need.... I don't know. If riot believes those champs will just be used by new players who just needed a champ. Well people play champs they just bought in ranked anyway. cough screwing up my rank cough Anyways. If that is the case riot just needs to add a rule. If you are going to rank you need to have 16 champs with a mastery crest. No more problems. Every champ they can play they know how to play. But that's just my opinion.
