Why/How did you start playing league?

For me, here's my story.

5 years ago, i started playing DOTA 2 on my old desktop. I played over 1.5 years and became addict to it.

In 2012, My sister bought me a laptop....... a damn toaster and they threw the desktop away. After couple of days of using it, i wanted to play DOTA, so i hit install button and it took 22H download time (Yup, toaster internet).

As soon as i opened the game, i entered to play a game but the laptop couldn't manage to run the game.

I was really upset, so i searched the internet for any other games similar to DOTA. I found League of legends, so i immediatly downloaded it (It took 12H :D ) then the laptop managed to run the game without any problems except FPS lags, ping lags, had to close any other openned program...... anyway, i adjusted the settings to super low graphics and worked smoothly!

I am so happy that i am playing League, thank you Riot games for this amazing game. What about you?

Tried it out back in s2 or s3 because people kept mentioning it, and a friend played it. Didn't really get a feel for it, so I left. Then I returned half a year ago to try again because people were still talking about it and became addicted lol.

I've recently been trying out DOTA. :o

Few years ago in season 2, my brother wanted me to join him in this new game he found. That game was League.

After the first few games, I hated it. It was too complicated, too hard. Granted, I was ten at the time. So, I quit the game when my account was level 14.

Fast foward to Preseason 5. I found out my friends played League, so I said "Eh, why not give it another shot?". Went home that day and downloaded the game. Made a new account and rightly dubbed it "Sir Glitterfart".

The tutorial was a breeze; I had remembered most of the controls (It was burned into my mind after the constant nagging of my brother when he was teaching me ;-;).

4 years changes a boy's mind. I understood every concept to an extent, and I absolutely loved the complexity. I enjoyed learning mechanics.

Now, here I am. A Silver 3 Fill main xD. Was a fun, but hard journey.

I started playing League because every game I used to enjoy was destroyed by fucking greedy, wallet-humping suits who want to appeal to autistic monkeys, since they can't play any game that requires thought. So, having nothing else to do, I picked up League, since it's popular.

To this day, I still wish I could quit forever and be done with this fucking F2P cash grab. Unfortunately, there is nothing to play anymore, so I'm stuck here.

i used to play a lot of DOTA 1 in LAN parties with my friends back in 2010, we knew it had issues mostly because of the limitations of the war craft 3 engine. One day a friend came and told us about league, we all downloaded it and tried it, it was an instant hook! it had everything we ever wanted from DOTA, Mage scaling cooldown reduction crit modifiers that made sense etc. that was in season 1 around the time of Maokai release been playing since

I had previously been playing Counter Strike a lot, and whenever people complained about the community there there'd always be someone who said that League had a worse community. So I started playing to see if that was true, and 27 levels in I'd have to agree with them.

edit: technically that's not true. I started playing a long time ago since, as my friend has told me, before the current ranking system existed. I forget when, but I think it was whenever Janna was released as I sorta remember her being on the front page of the launcher. He tried to get me into the game and I wasn't really in to the whole MOBA thing, but I kept on because he wanted to queue with me I guess. I remember taking a liking to Heimer as he was the only champ I could kill people with, and having Morgana as the only champion I was able to afford. I used to hate playing as her, but now since I've gotten back in to the game she's my first pick for midlane.

Friends got me into it, no real interesting story, just some friends showed me the game and got me into it .

Friends got me into it, stopped playing with me because I didn't understand the game or how to support (I kept aa'ing minions as Soraka, for instance).

I almost gave up the game until an upperclassmen took me under her wing and basically trained me. Consistently matched with level 30's as a complete noob, I quickly learned the ropes and got my ass kicked over and over.

Until one day I queued by myself and realized that compared to other noobs, I was actually decent. So I kept going, since my results in League correlate to the work put into it, and it reminds me of real life and that I can actually achieve things if I work hard for it.

I started playing because at the time I was playing a game called Grand Chase, the pvp there was rather competitive and I pvped often there. Although, eventually the devs decided to slowly kill off pvp and LoL came out and the other top pvpers invited me to play League with them since it was a new game. I found the game to be enjoyable and ended up playing it from then up until today. Although, League was the first moba I had ever played since I primarily played mmorpgs and shooters.

I was playing another MOBA at the time and sometime, when the game was empty, people mentioned it was due to League of Legends. So, after a time I searched Google for that game who kept appealing all of the MOBA players to it.

I played League at the end of S2 beginning with Sona because that champion was free to play at the time and easy to play too. But I was so bad with the movements and controls. (I always played games where I was behind my character and not 3/4 up from him). So I stop playing before the start of Season 3.

For a reason, I start playing again in march of Season 3. I think it was because I didn't find another game worthy enough. XD Since then, I love this game.

But for some reason, I am not able to play Sona right anymore even as a support main. XDDD

P.S.: Sorry about mistakes in English.
