Banable words in game

Hi there, this is just a suggestion I had. I know a lot of you notice how many people here complain about being banned for toxic behavior. One of the main things that I think lands a lot of people in this boat is the use of racial terms. Why are these words and other words riot deems automatically toxic and banable just cencored outright or not allowed to be typed in game chat? If you are going to ban whoever says them, why not just not allow them in the first place. Stops people from getting banned for making jokes or whatever and riot has already said they are never acceptable.

The system is so inconsistent it really does not matter. I never say anything racist or extremely offensive just the occasional 'so bad' and such. I've been banned a few times in the past. And when the new system came out a few months ago I got an email saying I used Racial or homophobic slurs and would be banned next time; yet there was no chat logs and Riot replied to my email saying that the logs were lost. (I never did and never have so I know it's a lie). While I have a friend who has been playing since beta he consistently says "gg fags" "gay" "homo" "N***er" and he has never been banned. He also has an inappropriate IGN along the line of "Dick Bag".

I gave up caring bout the system it's so bad and faulty it's not worth trying to sudjest solutions anymore cause Riot wont do anything that requires $$$.

Which is funny to hear, because the Tribunal actually cost them more money overall than a more "standard" Support team handling things.

Between server space/maintenance, traffic, and other related costs for the Tribunal, they also had a full team dedicated to upkeep and development on it, as well as maintaining the standard Support team.

I would think mostly because that doesn't do anything to curb what's getting people into trouble in the first place. It allows it to continue but just bleeps it. And frankly if people are using that casually, there's usually other things they are saying also that are crossing the line.

It's also notable, I think, that it would limit communication between players who all know each other. Group chat from 5-man premades is completely censored from cases and isn't reviewed, because it's assumed that the players in question all know each other, and have a good idea of what each finds acceptable.

That doesn't affect their /all chat, of course.

Still, you're very right in that players who tend to make use of hate speech almost invariably have plenty of punishable chat that doesn't include hate speech.
