RP into IP

I think what a good idea would be to allow players to turn RP into IP. A lot of us players have extra RP around after we purchase skins and such. I think what would be a good idea is if Riot set up an option to turn that RP into IP when we don't have enough IP to buy something. So lets say that I want to buy a 4800IP champion, but I only have 3800 and I have 40RP. I would be able to buy the 4800IP champion with the left over RP that I have. A lot of other games have such systems and I think this would be a great idea for League of Legends as well. Give me feedback about the idea and hopefully Riot will set something up like this.

The only issue with that, is it would turn League into a pay to win game. Someone new with a lot of money could drop 300 bucks on the game and then buy all the runes, all the champs etc.

that doesn't increase their skill

I know, but it still gives them a big advantage over other new people. The whole point of runes only being purchaseable with IP is so that you have to play a lot of games to be able to afford them.

Runes not being free is a crap system anyway. I still think it was designed as a way to push players into paying for IP boosts or RP for champions so they have IP to be competitive sooner.

I suppose. As expensive as they are, I still think it's mildly reasonable. I don't think I've ever purchased an IP boost, and I have a decent runes that I can customize for any champ on any role.

Maybe they could restrict it then to only being able to purchase champions in this way?
