We need an option to mark champs as favorites, or as "never play". With the wide variety of champs, it'd be nice not to have to sift through them all during selection, but be able to have a select group of champs that are preferred to play. Maybe even give options for each role: top, mid, jungle, adc, supp.

I do think this would be a really nice feature. I've gotten use to it now so I don't care to much anymore but I always wondered why they weren't split into categories of some kind or like you mentioned the ability to choose favorites.
If you don't ever play them you can write to riot's support team and ask them to delete the champions from your account. I just had riot delete about half the champs on my account bc I don't play them and don't want mystery skins for them if they do that again. Got a vayne one for last season and I hate playing vayne..... Yeah that sucked.
