KS rules for newbie

I'm a newbie. I almost always use Ashe, wherever on the map that asks for assistance: top, mid, bot, jungle (through the jungle if that what it means)...

When others kill a champ I've been trying to, I don't complain, but even compliment and thank them for saving me. Then when I do that same thing with other players, they say they're going to report me. I thought the whole point is to kill the enemy to get a leg up, so if I can, I go for it. That's the only thing I think of. And they want to report me for doing what others do.

I've been playing only against bots, but I really wish to know if I'm on firm ground or not so that I can play against players without getting into trouble. And if you have any other tips, I'm open for them. Thanks.

Just ignore them, you won't be banned for it as "KS" isn't a valid reason for reporting. Just some douches out there that wants every kill they participate in, is all.

I've been reported for going duo top in botgames (pre-level 10), it's ridiculous. d:

Just report them they will get punished for being negative towards u. And if someone says KS to you again just say "kill secured bro"

Here is how things really are: KS as in "Kill Steal" doesn't exist. Yes, people will complain a lot, but it's not a reportable offence, so if they threat you saying they will report you, ignore them That said, you are free to kill the enemy if you can. However, there are times where you should try to let someone else get the kill. The most common case is when you play support: part of your job as the support is to make so that your carries will get fed, so you should try to let them have the kill. BUT... NEVER, and i repeat NEVER, give your enemy a chance to escape just to try and give the kill to someone else. If you are not 100% sure they will die, kill them yourself. Also, coming into someone's lane and last-hitting the enemy after your teammate did all the job and the enemy couldn't escape anyway seems kind of a dick move... but actually is gold efficient since you get more gold for a kill and an assist instead of just a kill, so if you do it to me i won't complain... altough i may find it disturbing if you are malphite and use flash + ult to get the kill in such a situation, in which case you just proved that you are either a jerk or a total idiot... also, if you can hit the enemy to get the assist but then let your teammate get the kill that would be very good behaviour.

By the way, in my experience at your level you will be exposed to a lot of flame if you play pvp... if you have toxic players and you find it difficult to tolerate them, remember that you can mute them.

They play just for their score and want to have many kills. You can mute them, if they continue to spam annoying messages.

You can not be reported for kill stealing but you can for what you say in response to their complaints. Just apologize once and mute if they're still going on about it. Ignore them or mute them.

I'm absolutely terrible when it comes to playing aggressive roles and taking a backseat to everyone else's plays. I'm that ADC that get's their team of tanks fed and safe farms until fights so that I know I'm safe behind the 23/3/10 Malph top lane. So long as I can keep ahead or even with the enemy team without exposing myself as a weakness, I consider it good teamwork. And in most cases, it works.

I recommend starting PVP as early as you get the chance. AI don't improve with your level, but PVP will get harder with your level.

There's a whole lot less of an agitated stance on Kill Stealing in PVP, especially when someone is about to die.
